In the first round of Week One Chuck called in for Congressman Ron Paul battled it out with Robert, who supports Senator Fred Thompson. Thompson came on late, but Paul managed to hold him off winning round one. In the second round, Paul (the survivor) took on Daniel, representing Senator Hillary Clinton. Hillary came to play, but Paul defended his round one crown and is one step closer to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Chuck will come back next week to defend Congressman Ron Paul. Darrell also wonders if calling someone illegal is the same as calling a black person the n-word. A local activist said it is. Though there is nothing about the word illegal that signifies race or creed. If this is the case, is there something else we can call illegal immigrants? Darrell ponders over the word cheaters. Others suggest terms like infiltrator, sovereignty terrorist or border jumper. But, shouldn’t you call a spade a spade?

Romney is showing strong support in New Hampshire and in South Carolina while Sen. McCain continues to struggle.

There is an agenda behind stating that calling an Hispanic person “illegal” is like calling a black person the N word.
It is an overt attempt to invalidate anyone’s argument that the illegal alien population in the United States is harmful to our economy, culture, and sovereignty, by relegating these arguments to racism.
But it also has a more insidious purpose. It is an attempt to completely nullify the basis of the discussion. If one can’t specify the exact status of these people’s presence in the United States, the status of illegal, what does one base the above arguments on? That would undercut any attempt to rectify the situation, because if they’re not illegal, what is the problem?
Also, I find it ridiculous that the only group of people who (according to this person Ankarlo heard) are offended by the phrase “illegal immigrant”, are Hispanics. So it would be OK to call a person of a different nationality illegal? Would it be OK for me to call a white person the N word?
“Illegal immigrant” is not accurate. “Immigrant” denotes a person who is here legally; no adjective is needed. “Alien” can mean either legal or illegal. That is why I always say “illegal alien”.
Lets face it. Ron Paul is not going to become president. He is not anywhere close to being a mainstream republican, and he is also a little wierd.
We already knew that Giuliani is a liar by virtue of the fact that he is a politician, but the latest news stories confirm that he has been relying on numerous lies to support his record. Can such a blatant liar be trusted as president?
It is common sense to know that Huckabee is doing well in Iowa thanks to the numerous Born Again, and other conservative protestant Christians that live there. He just does not have enough support from everyone else to do anything. The reality is that too many Born Agains are extremely obnoxiouly self righteous to have their views taken seriously by others. We all know that in the eyes of Born Agains, anyone not subscribing to their odd take on the bible, is going straight to hell. Non-Born Agains just do not like being told, without any prevocation, that we are going straight to hell despite all of our good deeds, while the Born Agains are going straight to heaven, despite all of their continued bad deeds. Any politician that caters so much to that crowd had better be very reliable on the issues to reassure us that they will vote with the will of the country, not according to some doctrine we might or might not support.
McCain is uninformed about key issues, and seems to be getting senile. He will surely say enough stupid things to ensure that he never gets close to the nomination.
Romney is a mormon, and basically admits to changing his opinion about abortion at a time where it seems to be just too politically convienient. Between the fact that much of the conservative religeous base that supports the republican party has an extreme distrust of mormons, at best, and the fact that Romney obviously has waffled on a point critical to the party, he will not have a chance to get the nomination without a miracle.
Obama is a slick tounged, wet behind the ears senator that does not really have experience. He also has had more than his share of problems. What does that matter, he speaks well.
Clinton already had her share of scandals, but this is ridiculous. The Clintons have their share of scandals, but if she stays at this pace, even she won’t be able to get past these scandals.
Edwards has his wierd plan to pay for college for everyone. Why do we not just go all the way and have communism. We can’t even get everyone through the woefully inefficient No Child Left Behind mess of standardized testing. Why whould we want ignorant people to further bogg down our colleges while bankrupting everyone. We already have a great system of loans and grants that allow anyone serious about it to go to college. The increase in income more than pays off colloege loans for most people. Why would I want to be driven to the poor house just so that people will not have to pay off the student loans that I already have. Oh, and by the way, too many Americans are already ill informed ignorant people, that judging by thier schoolwork, should not be let anywhere near a college.
Imagine this, Obama, an islam?, versus, Romney, a mormon, for the nomination for the white house. Irregardless of the many good things that undoubtedly exist in the two religions, the amount of hatred and religeous bias in this country would surely make for an interesting election.

Dear President Bush:
I’m about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I’m going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I’m on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their ol the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government programs.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won’t make any effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don’t enforce any labor laws or tax laws.
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.
