The policy basically doesn’t keeps Phoenix police from enforcing federal immigration law.Also, CKE Restaurants (Carl’s Jr) CEO Jason LeVecke says he won’t open anymore Carl Jrs in Arizona due to the Arizona Employer Sanctions Law. He says it is just not worth the risk. LeVecke says what if one of my managers makes a mistake and hires an illegal immigrant? I would lose my business license and all 1,200 of my employees would lose their jobs. And we would lose out on eating some great burgers.Ankarlo unveils a solution today. Since illegal immigrants cost the state (taxpayers) of Arizona over $1 billion in health care, education, and prison costs why don’t we start charging the businesses who hire them?
