ATLANTA - Authorities arrested a third suspect and searched for at least one other man Friday in the killings of two police officers gunned down as they worked as off-duty security guards at an apartment complex.

William Maurice Woodard, 26, was arrested at a traffic stop, DeKalb County Deputy Police Chief Mike Burrows said during a news conference.

The DeKalb Sheriff’s Office issued warrants Friday charging Woodard and Mario O’Brian Westbrook, 31, with murder. Burrows said authorities are still looking for Westbrook.

DeKalb County Police officers Ricky Bryant Jr., 26, and Eric Barker, 33, were killed early Wednesday in an apparent ambush in a parking lot at the Glenwood Gardens apartment complex.

Two other men already arrested, Herbie DeShawn Durham, 32, and Deanthius Jamal Johnson, 28, were charged with two counts of murder.

Residents say drugs, prostitution and gunfire are common at the apartment complex in a suburb six miles east of downtown Atlanta.

Police have not released a motive for the killings and have declined to say if there are other suspects.

Both slain officers were married fathers and were wearing their uniforms when they were shot. They were hired in December as part-time security to prevent break-ins, said Teofil Taut, the owner of the 176-unit complex who also lives in one of the buildings.

In response to your question about removal of Trichloroethylene (TCE) from tap water, the answer is found through NSF International certification. NSF is a third-party organization that certifies drinking water systems for the consumer. To be certified for a substance, the system has to EFFECTIVELY remove it. They have certified over 4,000 drinking water systems and not many of them are certified for TCE. You need to ask for a Data Perfomance Sheet from the company and this will show you what they are certified for and the percentage they remove for the life expectancy of the filter. I have used a Mutli-Pure Drinking Water System for over 20 years because it is certified for a wide range of contaminents including TCE and they have the ONLY filter certified for the removal of ARSENIC. I will send you information through the KTAR Station address. Be looking for it next week. You are wise not to want an R.O. for other reasons besides waste of water (which I can explain later).

I am a new listener to your show. I was listening to your program this morning (Thurs Jan 17th) when a man called in stating he was an employer in AZ. He stated that 6 people left his employ due to the new employment laws. Apparently they were not here legally. He was very angry and indignant. I don’t understand his righteous indignation. He was breaking the law and knew it. Now he has apparently decided to take it out on the rest of his employees by letting them go and recruiting staff entirely from Mexico. Shortly after NAFTA passed my position was outsourced to India. My spouse is in construction and his wages have consistently been under cut by competitors like the above mentioned man who does not care about anything but his bottom line. I think the man on the radio is perfectly representative of the American corporation. He shows very little if any social responsbility and frankly his loyolty to the United States is questionable. His loyalty is obviously only to himself. However, more to the point, I was wondering if you, Mr Ankarlo, or any one can shed some light on the ability to recruit and bring employees in from another country. How does it work? I hear that corporations are doing this more and more. So what good is re-educating Americans to take more skilled jobs when the corporations are recruiting the skilled labor from other countries to under cut American salaries? Please forgive me for my ignorance but I am at a loss. If unskilled and blue collar jobs are being taken by people who are here illegally and skilled jobs are being filled by labor being brought in from other countries by corporations how do Americans keep our jobs or get one? What bills have been passed that disallow protection for the United States labor pool and who passed them?

INDIANAPOLIS - Four men have been arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of a baby, a toddler and their mothers while the women held their children in their arms, police said Saturday.

Ronald Davis and Dante Hobson, both 30, face four counts of murder, felony murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in the Jan. 14 slayings, police said at a news conference.

A third suspect, Zarumin Coleman, 21, faces charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and assisting a criminal. He was arrested Thursday after a SWAT team swept an Indianapolis apartment building.

Jasper Frazier, 36, was charged with attempt to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He turned himself in to police in Ohio on Thursday, authorities said.

All four suspects are from Indianapolis, police Lt. Jeff Duhamell said.

“We think we got the primary people that were involved in the homicide,” he said, adding that investigators are not releasing a motive behind the killings.

Friends Andrea Yarrell and Gina Hunt, both 24, and their children, ages 4 months and 23 months, were all shot repeatedly late Monday in their home in an attack that sparked outrage in the city.

Police said Yarrell, her 4-month-old daughter Charlii, Hunt and her 23-month-old son, Jordan, were shot multiple times in the face and torso.

“To the ones that did this, I hope there is no peace,” Marion County Sheriff Frank Anderson said.

Two handguns were found within a block of the house, where the victims lived. A set of scales, several weapons, a safe and one pound of what was believed to be marijuana were found in the house, police said.

The four men were being held in jail. Duhamell said he expects formal charges to be filed by Tuesday.

Hundreds of mourners packed an Indianapolis church Saturday for the funeral of Hunt and her son. Juan Geralds, a relative of the Hunt family, said it was time to end the cycle of parents burying their children.

    “Stop this foolishness,” he said.
