Friday, October 5, 2007: A busy, busy Ankarlo Mornings. Darrell examines the Carol Ann Gotbaum story. Just what did happen at Sky Harbor Airport. Attorney Peter Friedman joins Darrell. Later, Ankarlo says the 1980’s were the worst decade in the history of the United States…bad music, bad T.V. and bad movies. It’s a good thing Ronald Regan was the President otherwise it would have been hopeless. Olympic Champion Marion Jones has admitted to using steroids and Darrell says strip her of her medals. But, is she different than Barry Bonds? And finally, more and more companies are going towards an e-mail free Friday. Should yours follow suit?
Thursday, October 4, 2007: The Arizona Diamondbacks got the whole Valley pumped up yesterday with their 3-1 victory over the Cubs in Game 1. Darrell is pumped for Game 2 tonight and asks what you would do for D-Backs tickets? Also on today’s show, Darrell talks to Pappas Schools Principal Dina Gerdon about the schools closing. Gila River Casinos has a commercial explaining how much they do for the community. But, what about all those gambling addicts? Sgt. Mark Clark from the Scottsdale Police tells Darrell how they tracked the vandalism case. And the Ankarlo Morning Players make a comeback.
Friday, September 7, 2007: Happy Friday! Osama Bin Laden has released a new video tape. It is supposed to come out Tuesday, Sept. 11th, but the White House already has a copy. Hear Darrell’s thoughts. In the 9 o’clock hour, Darrell opened up the phone lines to whatever you wanted to talk about. Everything from Ignacio Ramos, to legalized drugs to Mexican trucks came up. At ten, Darrell continued his discussion of the Mexican trucks now being allowed into the States. He talks to KTAR’s Kevin Tripp as well as Teamsters Spokesperson Leslie Miller about the program. Friday August 24, 2007: Sen. John Warner (R-Va) wants the troops home from Iraq. Darrell starts the show by talking about his reasons and why Darrell supports some of what he is saying. During the second hour of the show, Ankarlo talks to Presidential candidate and humor columnist Dave Barry. Then he spends some time with Arizona Diamonbacks president Derreck Hall. At ten, Darrell talks about a court case out of Florida. A man was caught taking pictures of a cell phone up a woman’s skirt. His lawyer is arguing that you don’t have a right to privacy in public. In the final hour of the show, Ankarlo chats with Stephen Lemons from the New Times. He wants to know why Lemons is encouraging people to graffiti Phoenix.
