Are the Red Sox the new Yankees?

Here’s what happened today on Doug and Wolf:

* A-Rod wanted to take away from the Red Sox winning the World Series by announcing he is becoming a free agent in the 7th inning. The guys rip the 250 million dollar man for his lack of respect for the game.

* Congrats to the Boston Red Sox winning two titles in four years. They are set up to win a lot more in the next five years. Are they becoming the Yankees?

* ASU gets a HUGE win at home against Cal. The guys look ahead to this weekend’s HUGE game against Oregon. What will it take for ASU to play for a national championship?

* Kobe couldn’t stay out of the news. The Lakers and Bulls are talking about a trade. DW discussed the chances that it will happen.

Grid Iron Griddle:

The guys discussed what the fall out will be for the Giants and Dolphins playing in London.

We count down for the greatest NFL regular season game EVER, Patriots-Colts.

Guests:

ESPN college football and NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper, Jr.: Mel likes the Patriots beat the Colts in the “Game of the Century” and doesn’t know if ASU has enough to beat Oregon in Eugene.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt: Coach Whisenhunt said that the glaring weakness that he saw time and time again as he evaluated the team was penalties and turnovers. He talked about the Chargers taking over their facilities during the fires in Southern California.

Tomorrow’s Show:

Dennis Erickson, ASU Football Coach at 7:20 a.m.

Bertrand Berry, Cardinals Defensive End at 8:00 a.m.
