Why wouldn’t Barry go back to the Spurs? It’s no big deal, but this type of resigning should be banned. I’ll bet Barry has a house in San Antonio. A family. Maybe kids in the schools. Just won a world championship with the Spurs.
The league snuffed it out with the Stackhouse - Nets deal, which was more obvious. But if a team cuts you or trades you, that team should not be able to resign you during that season.
