The dumbest thing MLB did was determine that the winner of the All-Star Game would decide the outcome of home-field advantage in the World Series…why should this game have any relevance to that? This is a 4-day break for players and fans to relax and enjoy themselves in the midst of a long, LONG season…all-star games/pro bowls, etc should have no bearing on the rest of the season. I watch the MLB all-star game to see what’s NOT happening on the field, in most cases…how do players interact, are they enjoying themselves, et al. As for the players trying to perform better than they would, since the’re on a bigger national stage than normal, is ludicrous. Should these games go away? Nah…they’re fun. The Pro-Bowl, maybe, since it’s at the end of a gruelling season…and to have THAT event in the middle of the season would be impossible, and outright inane.
And I’m done…except for 1 thing…whoever is in charge of this webpage, PLEASE find more than the 2 photos of Doug and Wolf that continually flash by when I’m typing this…there has to be more than those 2, right? Seeing grown men in diapers is disturbing…
