My Weekend

A very busy weekend for me coming up with the Cards at home playing a huge game against Dallas and a lot of college football to watch.

Tonight I might take the girls to Scottsdale and attend an Arizona Fall League game.  Jennifer’s going out to Dave & Buster’s in Tempe with friends so I’m alone with the girls.  It’s either baseball or movie night.

Tomorrow is Vienna’s soccer game.  I’m her coach and I love doing it but it will drive me crazy tomorrow.  The game is right in the middle of Okla/Texas.  I’ll have to record the game and watch it when I get home.  The other big games are all Saturday night.  LSU/U of F, Mizzou/OSU, and Wisconsin/PSU are all 5p kick-offs.  With that and baseball all going on, I might develop carpal-tunnel Saturday night but I think I’m up to the challenge.  If you don’t like someone flipping the station all the time, don’t come over.

Sunday is all about the Cardinals.  I like going to the game very early because it gives me a chance to see the other games from the press box.  I think the Cardinals are going to win.  Maybe the Cowboys can focus through all of these distractions but I don’t think they’re taking the Cardinals seriously.  I really believe what Wolf is selling in regards to the Cowboys secondary.  With Newman out and Pac-man attacking bodyguards, I like the Cards.

I started out really well on my picks.  I got e-mails from my friends who gamble to keep my mouth shut because the season always gets tougher as it goes on because the line gets more difficult and you never know when bad teams are going to rise up.  I didn’t listen and now I’m getting hammered after talking trash.

Here’s my picks for the rebound:

UNC -7 1/2 v ND

In order to win this game, Notre Dame would have to be considered a good team.  They’re not.

Vandy -2 1/2 @ Miss St.

I get the fact Vegas expects a let down from Vandy here.  They forget, Vandy’s been a let down for 40 years.  Vandy won’t let a bad Bulldog team ruin the dream season.  Look for a close game early and then an easy 4th quarter for Vandy.

NYJ -5 1/2 v CIN

No Palmer and a hot Brett

Okla -6 1/2 v Texas

Texas will have no answer for Bradford.

Mich St -1 @ Northwestern

With all due respect to my beloved Bobcats, compare the 5 teams MSU has defeated with the 5 victims of Northwestern.  Sparty’s got this one.
