Doug’s Power Poll - Week 12

1. TITANS: Collins is not just managing games, he’s winning them
2. GIANTS: one NY team is @ number one and this one is @ number 7…I know it’s cheesy but are you ready for some football
3. PANTHERS: Delhomme has been awful the last two weeks…that better change or the next two weeks are losses @ATL and @GB
4. BUCS: +9 in sacks and 4th in scoring defense and Garcia is last in interceptions…can we start to take this team a little more seriously please?
5. STEELERS: since this is Pac-10 country you probably already know but I think we should all learn how to spell P-O-L-A-M-A-L-U
6. JETS: I haven’t been this excited for a NYJ game since…since
7. CARDINALS: : I’m very interested in how the TOP will be with the great running game of NYG and the lack of one from AZ
8. PATRIOTS: I think everyone knew that NE and IND would battle for playoff position, but did you think that position would be the 6 seed?
9. REDSKINS: when you sign a contract to play O-line for WSH you have a reputation to uphold…these are no hogs
10. COLTS: @SD next week will end the season of the loser
11. COWBOYS: defense was great since almost all the WSH 3rd down conversions happened on one drive…how long will TO accept 5 catches and no TD’s?
12. DOLPHINS: you’re not good enough to just show up and win…OK, you are against OAK but not anyone else
13. BRONCOS: this team is either really good out of all the bad teams or really bad about of all the good ones
14. FALCONS: I don’t care how bad you were last year or what you’ve accomplished this year, you have no excuse to lose to Denver
15. PACKERS: giving up almost 150 rush y/g eliminates any chance of me believing they belong in any category other than “someone’s got to win the NFC North”
16. EAGLES: I wrote last week “I think McNabb is a good guy and a loser at the same time”…do you ever get the feeling I could predict the end of the world (I’d hate to see if the end of the world is a tie)
17. RAVENS: the fun and games are over now so you can make your January plans
18. BEARS: I really believe Lovie’s a good coach but there’s fewer people on the boat with me
19. VIKINGS: we’ve all been trained that you must be able to run the football and stop the run…MIN is 4th in rush offense, 2nd in rush defense, and a .500 team
20. JAGUARS: huge loss to TEN because next 3 are very winnable (vMIN, @HOU, @CHI)…through exhaustive research, statistical analysis, and discussions with NFL insiders I’ve discovered this is an average team
21. CHARGERS: Can we finally put the coaching career of Norv Turner to rest?
22. SAINTS: Interesting PIT is on top of all the defensive categories and NO is on top of most offensive categories…they’re also in different spots on the power poll
23. BROWNS: almost became the first team in NFL history to lose 3 straight while possessing a lead of over 13 pts in the game
24. BILLS: WIDE RIGHT!…now where have I heard that before?
25. TEXANS: last year good record outside the division and 0-6 in it while this year it’s 3-3 outside and 0-4 inside…solution: move the franchise to LA and force re-alignment
26. 49ERS: there’s the Vernon Davis thing, the reporter asking about Walsh and the underwear thing one week, then there’s the getting in subs while needing to stop the clock the next week…are you telling me that it was just football this weekend?
27. RAMS: how do WSH and DAL feel about STL?
28. SEAHAWKS: our CFB team is better, our MLB team is better, our NFL team is better, and our NBA team is, well, still here…and better
29. BENGALS: why do you play your heart out against the NFC East and no one else?
30. RAIDERS: it’s not PC but since he won’t sell and he won’t relinquish control, this team will not succeed until Al Davis is dead (is 156 passing yards an improvement or disappointment, I have trouble remembering where the bar is)
31. CHIEFS: don’t blame the players, they’re not good…don’t blame the coach, he didn’t hire himself
32. LIONS: are they included in the auto industry bail out?
