Here’s what happened Monday on Doug and Wolf:
* The Suns got blown out by the Celtics 108-128. Rajon Rondo set a career high in scoring leaving D&W to question Steve Nash’s defense
* Doug: “If we wanted to beat the Celtics last night we needed to have benched Steve Nash.”
Wolf: “He is a hall of fame point guard but his legs are not what they used to be, he is becoming a liability on the defensive end.”
* Amare Stoudemire is out for 8 weeks. Do you think that they have a shot to secure a playoff spot?
* The tide is changing for basketball in the state of Arizona. ASU beat UA last night for the season sweep of the series and their fourth straight win.
* Doug: “For the first time my focus on Thursday will be on the Sun Devils playing Washington for the Pac-10 title and not the Suns vs. Lakers.”
Grid Iron Griddle:
Andre Smith admitted he wasn’t in shape for the combine workouts, hadn’t been preparing for them and had recently changed agents. If you were a NFL G.M. where would you draft Smith?
Wolf: “I would still take Smith in the sixth or seventh round based on potential”
Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree has a ankle injury but will still run his 40 and is forgoing surgery until after his pro day. D&W still think that he is the top wide receiver in the draft.
