Big Cactus, Big Results

Here’s what happened Monday on Doug and Wolf:

* The Suns stunned the Lakers last night with a huge performance by Shaqctus. “7 seconds or Shaq” D&W love the new marketing slogan to come out of Planet Orange

* Ankle Watch Day 6…..Nash didn’t play against the Lakers but he did say that if it was a playoff game he would of played. Doug: “He didn’t play against the Lakers because he thought they were going to lose anyway.”

* The Sun Devils lost a heartbreaker to Washington State on Saturday when Taylor Rochestie hit a long three-pointer to put the Cougars up by two with only 2 seconds left in overtime. The Devils will come home for their final two games of the season. Wolf: “Let’s see how ASU bounces back from a tough weekend in Washington” Doug: “I want to see how much the Sun Devil fans love College Basketball, being that it will be the last game for Pendergraph and Harden at Wells Fargo Arena.”

Grid Iron Griddle:

Kurt Warner is going to visit the San Francisco 49’ers today to entertain a possible free agency deal.

Wolf thinks: “Why bid against yourself? Let the open market determine Warner’s value. I still feel at the end of the day he will be a Cardinal”

Doug: “I would have gone up on my offer simply because I would rather over pay for him then lose him and have Matt Leinart under center.”

Guests:

Mel Kiper, ESPN NFL Draft Expert: Mel gave us the latest news on the NFL draft and free agency.

Al McCoy, Suns Hall of Fame Announcer: Al talked about the Suns big win over the Lakers yesterday.

Paul’s Call: Paul Calvisi takes his sports seriously, without taking himself too seriously. Your daily dose of irreverence, angst, and stupification.
