Let’s Get Going Tucson!

Here’s what happened Tuesday on Doug and Wolf:

* John Calipari is reportedly going to Kentucky.  What’s taking UA so long?

* Shaq is trying to toughen up Robin Lopez.  Is Lopez too soft to get tough?

* Gary Sheffield was cut this morning.  D&W looks at where he could fit on the D-backs.

* It is dawning on us all that the Doug and Wolf show is wearing costumes and running on a dugout.

Grid Iron Griddle:

Plaxico Burress’ trial is being postponed which could mean that the Cardinals lost a player in any kind of Anquan Boldin trade.

Guests:

Jim Kelly, Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer: Jim feels that the Bills needed to take a chance on T.O. to keep the interest level up on the team.

Paul’s Call: Paul Calvisi takes his sports seriously, without taking himself too seriously. Your daily dose of irreverence, angst, and stupification.

  1. 1 Paul

I was writing to comment about Shaq and his comments about other players. There are times I like the way he plays and other times I know I could do much better.

He wont play defense away from the basket and he can’t block shots of the gaurds driving to the basket. He calls Popovich a coward for fouling him, but he’s been in the league for over 16 years and still can’t shoot a free throw. A coward is taking 20 million a year and not being able to shoot a damn free throw. I could kick it in for 20 million a year. Ask Wolf, for 20 million he could get 30 rebounds a night, even at his age! I know I could get at least 20 a game for that much money!

Don’t get me started about flopping like Vlade Divac. For years he has always complained about flopping and yet never said anything about all the calls he got when he would just elbow and roll over every other center, when he played with the Lakers.

He needs to clean up his own house before he comments about other players. I would like to hear what you have to say about the Shaq.
