* The Diamondbacks survived an offensive battle with the Rockies yesterday to win their second consecutive Opening Day 9-8. Webb had a rough outing giving up 6 earned runs, luckily for him his offense went yard 5 times! Tony Clark and Felipe Lopez became the first switch-hitting teammates to homer from both sides of the plate since 2000. Do you think this high power offense is a sign of times to come?

Wolf: “No way…” Doug: “A lot of positive things came out of yesterday’s game and I am most excited about the competition between players, it’s for sure the best player is going to play.”

*UNC beat down Michigan State last night in NCAA National Championship Game 89-72. The team became only the seventh team to win it all without having to face another number one seed. Ellington was named most outstanding player. Out of the fab five seniors on the team who will be drafted the highest come June?

* After five tries U of A finally found a coach. Sean Miller first turned the Cats down and then recanted and took the job saying “I would never leave Xavier unless it was for a place where I really felt you could win a National Championship.” Now there is a opening at Xavier, D&W are worried that Herb Sendek might be tempted to leave Tempe for Cincinnati…
