I absolutely love this town.
I consider that a great thing and not a bad thing. We have so much going on that there’s not even time to talk about an event as major as the FBR Open. I went to the Open last year and really enjoyed myself. I was amazed at how well run the event is. I’m sure the event will be as great this year. What’s amazing is the Governor came on today and said there are 8,000 SB volunteers. If there are that many, you would think that would affect the number of volunteers for the FBR. From what I’ve been told, the FBR will be just fine, thank you. We’ve been saying it on the station for some time but this truly is the greatest week in
It’s a time like this where I do need to be a little cheesy. Thank you for listening to Doug & Wolf for the last 13 months. In order to make it in this business, you either need to be born in a big market or move to one. My career path has been all over the map before my family settled here. I hope we’re done moving. Let’s cut to the chase, however, the only way that we’re done moving is if you keep listening. It’s the job of Yoda, Wolf, and me to make sure that we give you enough reasons to listen. I hope we’ve done that for you this week.
It’s been very difficult to give each team/event, the proper due. ASU has a huge game going on right now (Thursday night) against the number 5 team in the country. On the one hand, we haven’t given the game much air time this week. However, we talked to Herb Sendek about it on Tuesday. I don’t look at this as a bad thing it shows you how packed we’ve been.
Today, for an example, we were asked by the governor’s office if we wanted to talk to the Governor. Then we were asked by the Suns if we wanted Mike D’Antoni. The answer clearly is yes but we only had one open segment. So what do you do? You put them on together.
I love doing this show. I love working in Phoenix. I love my job. Thank you for keeping me employed.
