* The Suns were crushed by the Lakers last night 132-106. Nash did not play, but did make some comments about the organizations financial situation. “It’s not obviously the best formula for winning but it’s understandable” Do you think Nash is just making excuses?

Wolf: “Nash has been given the opportunity, given the talent to surround him and it just sounds like an excuse to me.”

* ASU lost to UW in overtime 73-70. How will this loss get the Devils ready for March?

Wolf: “This game will play dividends in March, the Sun Devils are becoming battle tested.” Doug: “There is no such thing as a moral victory, they tried hard but still lost a tough road game, to a good team.”

* Tiger Woods was knocked out of the Accenture Open Match Play Championship in the second round. Wolf: “The network executives are soiling their linen pants right now.” Doug: “At least Phil Mickelson is still in it.”

* Raja Bell and Boris Diaw returned to Phoenix but everyone has been talking about Steve Nash’s ankle instead.

* Should the Suns sit or play Nash against the Lakers? Doug: “Nash plays they lose, Nash doesn’t play they still lose.”

* Tiger returning to golf in Tucson. Will Tiger be even more dominant now?

* The Diamondbacks have said that they want to be more aggressive on the base path this year.

D&W: “There is no reason that Young, Upton, Reynolds and Byrnes shouldn’t have at least 20 stolen bases each.”

Kurt Warner and his agent believe that he is worth a larger sum than offered by the Cardinals. Warner deserves a salary among the top “four or five” quarterbacks in the league, no matter where he plays. According to Bartelstein (Warner’s agent), those five earn an average of about $14.5 million per year.
