Reynolds perfect for the AL

Here’s what happened Tuesday on Doug and Wolf:

* Looks like there will be a 2009 Phoenix Coyotes season. What’s the team’s long term viability in Phoenix?

* Is Mark Reynolds the perfect American League player? He’s a guy who can hit with no defense.

* D&W are really tired of Brett Favre.

* Larry Fitzgerald wants Wolf to give him a new nickname. It’s tough to fit “Japanese Fighting Fish” on a T-Shirt.

Brett Favre speaks to Joe Buck on HBO. If he is healthy enough, Favre will be a Viking. How does that feel Green Bay?

* 55 seconds worth of video tribute to Randy Johnson starts quite a fuss in the Southwestern Eye Center Studio

* Eric Byrnes will get by. Or at least according to his walk up song. DW discussed if he was trying to send a message last night.

* Game 4 of the NBA Finals is tonight, but DW would rather talk DeJuan Blair. Check out the new web page at the new sports.ktar.com

*Wolf isn’t a big fan of new Jets QB Mark Sanchez. Doug can’t believe Rex Ryan would square off with a player, namely Channing Crowder

* Randy Johnson became the 24th pitcher in MLB history to win 300 games. DW reflected on his remarkable career.

* The Lakers made a statement in Game 1 of the NBA Finals beating the Magic 100-75. Do the Magic stand a chance to win the series?

* The Cardinals signed strong safety Adrian Wilson to a five-year deal. DW like the direction the team is heading.

* NBA commissioner David Stern recanted on comments about fining LeBron James. Ultimately, James ends up paying $25,000 for not speaking with the media after losing in the Conference Finals.

* Did the Suns marketing team just happen to leave Amare Stoudemire out of their new commercial? Wolf thinks it was no mistake, and there’s a deeper message underneath it all.

DW react to how the NFL Players Association is dealing with Eric Mangini’s 10-hour bus trip for the Cleveland Browns’ rookies.

* Is Kobe playing the Magic, or the shadow of Shaq? DW weigh in.
