The Joe Crummey Show — Monday, January 12th, 2009

I just don’t get it.  How are ticket prices getting so high for the Cardinals game against the Eagles next Sunday?  Sure it’s the NFC Championship…but University of Phoenix Stadium didn’t even sell out every game this year.  Now suddenly ticket prices are in the thousands…what’s up with that?  I saw one ticket selling for $150,000 who in their right mind would pay that much to see a football game in person?

Natalie Dylan is a 22 year old virgin.  She’s auctioning off her virginity to pay for her masters degree in Family/Marriage Therapy.  Bids have hit $3.7 million and Natalie claims she’s received several million dollar offers.  Fact is Natalie isn’t doing this to pay for her schooling.  She’s trying to have it both ways…she’s proving no point…this isn’t a noble cause…it’s a classic example of putting lipstick on a pig.

A national safety group’s advocating a total ban on cell phone use while driving, saying the practice is clearly dangerous and leads to fatalities.  They’re right…when people are on te phone they are distracted.  People won’t want to give up their phones…but cell phones while driving will be a thing of the past.  What do people do that makes being on the phone while driving so important in the first place?
