Should alcohol-serving establishments be in charge of monitoring if you’re drunk or not?

The ACLU’s suing so a 14 year old Peoria student can continue wearing his “rainbows are gay” braclet.  Who’s running schools…administration and teachers, or students?

    About the gay kid from Peoria and the wristband issue - I’m going to suggest a different idea about this situation. Maybe the teachers and administration are trying to protect him. Being an openly-gay teenager, I think he’s putting himself in danger. We certainly aren’t the most tolerant society… teenagers are even less tolerant of those who are different. While some parts of the country are more tolerant than others - New York and San Francisco come to mind - by being open about his sexual orientation at such a young age, he’s setting himself up for ridicule, humiliation, and quite possibly physical harm. I fully defend his right to free speech… but he should keep a low profile until he’s older and in a more tolerant atmosphere - like college.
