Joe,

I wanted to call last night, but couldn't. While being a conservative, I do not necessarily accept all the drivel that the far right blurts. Hopefully this election will wake up a few conservatives and we can move back to where Barry Goldwater set the tone.

You said, as close as I can remember your quote, "the only difference between Obama and Palin is that Obama is polished." I'm sorry Joe, but you are way off base on that one. If only McCain had picked Condaleeza Rice, if he had to have a woman, or even Elizabeth Dole.

McCain is 72 and is a cancer survivor. It is highly likely that he will not make it through both terms. Palin's nomination takes on much greater import than say, Dan Quayle (I know one of Dan's cousins, and when he was nominated the first reaction was, "Oh my God, I can't believe it, the only reason Aunt and Uncle bought him the Senate seat was to keep him from screwing up the newspaper." We were delegates at the convention).

Palin was unable to tell Katie Couric what media she reads. She couldn't even come up with "People" or "E!," let alone Time or Newsweek or the Anchorage Daily. Palin makes me ashamed to be a conservative. McCain trying to be a conservative has more flip-flops than Walmart in the summer.

She has been identified as having made serious ethical breeches in Troopergate, charges to the State for family travel, the Alaskan gas pipeline, and some of her Cabinet appointments. All in just two years. All of these are verifiable news stories from respected sources--including your radio and television networks.

Palin tries to tar Obama with associating with a radical, yet her husband is a member, and she has spoken and supported a group that wants to secede from the US. This is patriotism? The "leftist" media bend over backwards to say she held her own on the debate with Biden, when anyone could see that she couldn't answer any of the questions. She could only regurgitate talking points.

I'm sorry, but she is not Obama without the polish, she is an example of McCain's poor judgment and arrogance. More worrisome is the fact that Palin had her minister "protect her from witches" while running for governor. She believes that dinosaurs walked the earth with humans and the Grand Canyon was created in five weeks. She also believes we are at the "end of days." And while her conviction to God is admirable and to be respected, what if she and others believing we are at the "end of days" are wrong?

She has stated she would make decisions consulting with God. What if her consultations with God result in or convince McCain to take this country into another conflict like Iraq?

Obama has his flaws. He is not the perfect presidential candidate, but as the leader of our church youth group said, "At least Obama has been willing to sit down and listen to us and explain where he disagres and why." I see many young Evangelicals in our church supporting Obama. Why? Because he's Palin with polish? Of course not, they support him for his call for a commitment to national service in American communities or the American military.

Obama may be an awful president, but he has the ability to inspire. Kennedy, one of our most beloved presidents was ineffective. All his programs were implemented by LBJ. Kennedy made a terrible military decision (Bay of Pigs), but unlike Bush, he pulled the plug and took responsibility. However, Kennedy was inspirational and a leader. He made us Americans believe we could do more, share more, and attain more. I believe Obama will do the same.

That is why I am voting for Barack Obama on Tuesday. My mother once told me that if I ever pulled the lever for a Democrat, my arm would fall off. We'll find out on Tuesday if she was right.

Joe i was listening to your show on 10-29 I consider myself an enlighten person and your references to Barack Obama as a "Black BOY " really turned my stomach. why did you have to sink to such a classless level I really think you need to be sensitive to your entire audience and not give in to the hatred of the past. whats next taking away minority voting rights just because they dont happen to have the same idealogy as you? You might think im over reacting to your comment but im not there are a lot of unhappy Americans out here who like you vote with there minds not there hearts. I dont see how Mr. Obama can possibly pay for all his hand outs but unlike you i will vote for John with my head not my heart because in my head i believe his policies are better thought out than Obamas. to put an end to my ramblings i would just like to say shame on you for perpetuating the Racism of the past please adjust your thinking yes support conservative values but in a more enlighten manner

welcome to the valley Joe;

Maybe Obama is morphing into John McCain - some of the things he is saying tonight in his infomercial
I do believe he should have gotten a drama degree from Harvard or Yale and NOT a law degree;

Two things concern my greatly about this election -
that so Many of these contributions to OBAMA campaign are untraceable and the whole ACORN problem with registered dead/illegal aliens and others in OHIO and Illinois;

-- Wouldn't it be something if some of the checks, cash are from the middle east - its possible !

--Senator OBAMA could never have made it this far if he were anything other than Black;
I do think the collective liberal press has some kind of guilt complex about the 2000 election and guilt in general about not supporting this candidate

To elect a guy so lacking in good judgement AND any concrete experience in business in the Senate
nearly says you don't care enuf about your own country

He will screw things up in the first 2 yrs -

Gwen Ifill say would she write ANYTHING
negative in her book or anywhere else about Obama - -
is she found out he's just another politican and
the Savior of the world as Glenn Beck sez?
