The Joe Crummey Show–Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Tonight, you’ll hear jarring audio of the St. Johns boy accused of killing his dad and another man. It appears to be a confession in this case that has many people shaking their heads.  Channel 3’s Mike Watkiss broke this story and we’ll talk to him as well.

    Joe:
Are you just an idiot or are you really this depraved? In Pinal county right now there is a twenty year old man who will be prosecuted for molesting a fourteen year old girl. We believe that children that young are incapable of making responsible decisions about their own lives, even though I have heard of these young girls who think they are “more Mature” than theiir friends.
I agree that these child molestors should be taken out and skinned alive, because of how damaging they are to the lives of children who have no idea of how profoundly some of their off base thinking will affect them later. These children just live for the present and can’t acurately realize their own futures.
Next to that, we have the constitution of the United States of America that clearly states a presumption of innocence until proven guilty by the state.
I would be more interested in knowing if that young boy has a friend or helper present while he is being “Grilled” by a PRO!
You can’t have it both ways. I like the way our justice system works because of how well it truely works. Now find someother hook to enthrall your audience and leave that case to methodolgies that will ultimately prevail.
    Please!

I have no idea what that other commenter is talking about. Our justice system works on proof, but they have a child who is telling an unusual story about walking around ofr an hour and a half before he comes home to find his father and friend dead of rifle wounds.
A rifle that the child knows where it is, how to load it and how to shoot it. The cops need to figure out if the kid had a motive (i.e. was he abused or molested that would cause him to snap on his dad), or if he had knowledge of the person who did the killing and isn’t saying because he was told not to. At minimum this kid is the only witness they have in solving this homicide.
Joe did a fantastic job of breaking down the interview, which is crappy audio and hard to listen to on air. I thnk his reaction to the interview is entertaining AND informative. He is not distorting the facts, he is emphasizing his beliefs about the material that he is hearing. It is very skilled of him to interject and return to the tape, letting you know what you’re hearing, and so forth. This is not a courtroom, it’s talk radio.
