It was the worst…if you were anti-American.

Under the leadership of President Reagan, the USSR crumpled, we had one of the greatest economy booms, and the majority of Americans felt good about themselves and this country;to name a few. There were no “red states/blue states”; there were only American states. Oh yes, our hostages being held by Iran were freed in the first hour of his presidency.

The 1980’s was the BEST decade on record. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was so feared that the evil empire(Soviet Union) wouldn’t touch us. The greatest country in the world (USA) ran things. Whatever we did, other countries tried to copy us. Some succeeded. Other couldn’t hang. I also say that the 80’s was and still is the best decade for music, television, movies, etc. My opinion is that the 80’s and 60’s were two of the greatest decades for music. I give the edge to the 80’s. I grew up in the 80’s and I feel the that decade really changed America and the whole world in general. Everyone that grew up in the 80’s got to really make incredible breakthroughs that today we really enjoy. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was really respected and a welcome sight in places that really needed help. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was a “friend to those that really needed a friend to help them get ahead and try something that works”. Now were looked on as “bullies”. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is the greatest country on the face of the earth. Ledts go back to the 80’s and make this country a place where everyone can live in peace and harmony. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

The eighties was the last decade where the youth actually had to use their social skills and their concience. There after, computers and cell phones have made most youth anti-social and cynical.

Reagan was not that great. He cut wages, had ties to iran, was homophobic and I am glad he is gone. He died on my birthday and on that date in 1981 was the first case of aids. He took 6 years to fund monies for a cure. Well guess what he died on my birthday too ( june 5) He deserved to have alzeimers for throwing families on the streets a typical selfish capitalistic republican. Good Riddance.

I have children. I told my children from an early age, if you don’t educate yourself, be prepare to work twice as hard for half as much. America is not a big 24 hour a day keg party, Its a historical experiment that is working, so long as we keep true to our values.

No country is perfect, but some citizens of this counrty has learn to forget the spirit of community and family faily quickly. They expect the goverment to do everything but not do nothing for themselves. Thus having others picking and cooking their meals also. Opening up avenues for illegal aliens.

Got something to say?
