In case you missed Ankarlo on the Channel 12 News last night, go here and watch it. Ankarlo was interviewed along with FM News/Talk 92.3 KTAR Program Director Russ Hill about why KTAR releases a criminal suspect’s immigration status. The bottom line is this, KTAR doesn’t censor what information to give you. Other news organizations do. For just what reason, I am not quite sure. But, critics who don’t want a suspects immigration status published say doing so gives the impression that all illegal immigrants are criminals. This is just not true. This morning on Arizona’s Morning News, anchors Connie Weber and Ned Foster ran through a list of crime stories. None were committed by an illegal immigrant. So, I can tell you is at KTAR we will continue to provide the facts relevant to this and any story. Dr. Loren Ghiglione from Northwestern University joins Darrell to discuss the media’s ethical obligation. Still others think Ankarlo is a racist for even daring to discuss illegal immigration. Nothing could be further from the truth. One caller today even suggested it was racist to say illegal Mexicans. So, are Europeans racist because they say they hate Americans? How about Osama Bin Laden? Is he a racist?
For the record, Channel 12’s official policy says, “At 12 News our policy is to handle the immigration status of criminal defendants on a case by case basis. We report the immigration status when it provides context and helps viewers mroe clearly understand the story.”
Ankarlo is Talking the Vote today. Sen. Hillary Clinton has been caught planting questions and Sen. John McCain is asked how “we” can beat Clinton. Here is the Hillary Clinton planted question, thanks to CNN.

Also, Ankarlo is joined by Butler County Ohio Sheriff Rick Jones. Sheriff Jones has been seeing the effects of drugs and crime from illegal immigrants all the way up in Ohio. He recently came to the border to examine it. He then released a video detailing what he saw.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with releasing a criminal suspect’s immigration status. Regardless of whether they’re a citizen, legal immigrant, or illegal immigrant, bottom line is they committed a crime. I’ve only been in the valley for just over a year and I did not intend on staying here so I never really paid attention to what was going on around me. But within the past few months I’ve decided to stay and see what happens, so I’ve become more involved in the goings-on around me. It’s unfortunate, yet a fact, that it seems like lately there are crimes being committed by illegal immigrants more often than not. I may be wrong, and this may have been going on all along, but that’s just how I perceive it.
I applaud KTAR and all those associated for actually telling the WHOLE story and facts. With present day media outlets only disclosing the “facts” the way they see it or in a way that fits their agenda, its good to know somebody is actually telling the complete story. The legal status of the defendants is important information. It lends credibility to America’s struggle against illegal immigration and the problems it brings with it. We need to acknowledge the reprocutions of our “open borders” policy. Too many news sources are playing the “out-of-site, out-of-mind” game. By not telling us the legal status of the accused they are downplaying the severity of the issue. Thank you again KTAR.
People are what they are. If they crossed the border illegally, they are illegal aliens. If they are white and from Minnesota they are whie and from Minnesota. If they are black and Buddhist, they are black and Buddhist.
If they are a convicted felon, they are a convicted felon. I am tired of people trying to make illegal aliens into something they are not to make it sound like they are somehow entitled to anything.
Immigrants are fine and are what built this country- illegal aliens are not fine.
I disagree with the Dr. that was on earlier. We’re not stating their immigration status because we’re trying to prove that most illegal immigrants commit crime (though by definition, all illegal immigrants have committed at least one). The reason we’re reporting the status is to indicate that this group of people is impacting our society negatively. For example, the police officer mentioned earlier would still be alive if we had better control of the borders. That is the issue, not race or stereotype.
The Pew Hispanic Center state that 57% of illegal aliens are of Mexican origin and about 24% are of non-Mexican Latin American origin. They also report that while the number of legal immigrants arriving has not varied substantially since the 1980s, the number of illegal aliens has increased dramatically and, since the mid 1990s, has surpassed the number of legal immigrants.
Call them illegal aliens or immigrants. They are what they are. They are against the law from the first step they took on our land. I want to know when news channels report news that I am getting the whole story. I want to be able to make an informed decision regarding the topic at hand. The news channels claim to give the whole story. So what is channel 12 trying to do? Here’s an idea; let’s boycott channel 12 for not wanting to do their job. Let the listener/viewer make their own decisions just report the whole story. I am hispanic and I want you to know that these activists for latinos don’t speak for me! I have my own voice and want it back. At what point, did we give the illegals the power over us? We need to take back that power.
The girl was beaten, burned, and killed last week. Her little sister is still hospitalized.
According to court documents, Trenay’s younger sister saw her forced into the bathtub, scalded with hot water, whipped with an electrical cord, and punched in the face till she passed out.

One of the news stations wanted to know if the public thought that when crimes are committed, should the legal/illegal status of the alleged perpetrator be given.
I say definitely YES. It will show with out a doubt that illegals are a big problem and hopefully the gov’t will listen when legal citizens speak. We want tuff immigration laws. We need to get this country back on the right track, take care of our citizens and bring up our children in a better atmosphere.

Man Arrested for Abusing 6-Month-Old Son

A suspected illegal immigrant from Mexico was arrested in Mesa on Sunday for allegedly abusing his 6-month-old. Oslando Ochoa-Quintero and the baby’s mother brought the boy to the hospital because his lower extremities were not functioning. Doctors discovered he had several fractured ribs, a fractured skull and a broken clavicle that had already healed. Police were called and Ochoa-Quintero admitted to shaking the baby seven times over the past several months and said he has anger issues. The baby’s mother told investigators she never protected the baby because it caused fights between her and Ochoa-Quintero.

There’s new information about the man Chandler police say shot his two children to death before turning the gun on himself.
Forty-three-year-old Robert Roberts was separated from his wife. A divorce was in the midst, and according to court records, Roberts had talked about suicide in front of his children.
Roberts, his 4-year-old daughter Carleigh, and son, Michael, 6, were found shot to death in Robert’s home near Alma School Road and Germann. Roberts’ estranged wife called police after the kids weren’t dropped off for daycare.
The East Valley Tribune reports Roberts was an engineer and co-owner of Global Environmental Commercial Water Solutions, and that he was also involved in a lawsuit, accused of taking thousands of dollars of investor money.

I know that you think someone, perhaps Ankarlo, myself, or anyone who is against your idiotic beliefs about illegal immigration, owes you something. You have a huge chip on your shoulder but I’m not sure I understand why. Tell me chica, what is really bothering you? What is it that you think Uncle Sam owes you? An apology for failing you in becoming a mature adult with appropriate ethics and beliefs? I think you know who to blame for that. Your ghetto slang, or whatever colorful term you choose to describe it, only makes you sound un-educated and again, simply stupid. You may have been born in this country and you may be a CITIZEN (and I use the term lightly), but it doesn’t mean you deserve to be.
This may not sound familiar to you because it doesn’t have Spanish sub-titles, but it will to some. America isn’t easy. America is advanced citizenship. You’ve gotta want it bad, ’cause it’s gonna put up a fight. And if you want the fight, then America will bring it to you. We may not agree with everything that goes on in this country and yes we have serious problems to solve, but we need serious people to solve them. And whatever our particular problems are, I guarantee that you are not the least bit interested in solving them. You are interested in one thing, and one thing only: telling anyone who will listen, who’s to blame for them.
