Ankarlo: Mon Nov 26, 2007

November 26, 2007

Ankarlo is back in studio today and comes back without skipping a beat.

Over the weekend, the New York Times ran a piece about the Iraq War.  The title of the article is, As Democrats See Security Gains in Iraq, Tone Shifts.  Wait, this was in the New York Times?  This surprises me for a couple of reasons.  One, the Times is admitting there is good news out of Iraq and second, it is acknowledging the Democrats “evolving” positions.  Remember when they hit President George W. Bush with those some charges several months ago?  Darrell takes this on today on Ankarlo Mornings and also manages to praise Sen. John McCain’s continued support of the Iraq War.

In Suprise, a tennis teacher has been fired because he was looking at inappropriate websites.  Geoff Mena says this isn’t accurate.  See, Mena used to work in the adult entertainment industry and even appeared in a couple movies.  He fully disclosed when he was interviewing for his job in Suprise.  Mena has also said his face can’t be seen in any adult movies, but he did website development for several adult and non-adult companies.  He also says he was showing another co-worker some of his website development “code” and was fired for this.  Mena says he never looked at any nude images or showed another worker them.  He was merely showing a co-worker how he set up a couple websites.  Ankarlo says Mena was given a raw deal.

Over the weekend, counter protestors showed up outside Pruitt’s Furniture to help them ward off the “immigration rights” protestors.  Darrell talkes to Mike Sensing from Pruitt’s and also talks to Stacey O’Connell from the Patriots Border Alliance.  Both say, they are trying to protect the business at Pruitt’s.

In the final hours, Darrell slams several British women for saying they aren’t going to have kids because they are eco-friendly.  So when did eco-friendly become anti-kid?  The women says kids only consume more of our limited resources.  Oh boy.

Also, Darrell talks to Col. Randall Larsen, author of Our Own Worst Enemy about the security changes at Fort Huachuca.  FBI documents say terrorists from Iraq and Afghanistan were going to pay Mexican drug dealers $20,000 to sneak them across the border with weapons.  The weapons included high powered rifles, anti-tank weapons and rocket propelled grenades.  It’s just a reminder that there are still those who want to kill us.
