Is waterboarding torture? Several politicians have spoken out against the practice with stimulated drowning. Sen. John McCain hates the idea that we even do it. Sen. Harry Reid says there is no doubt waterboarding is torture. Others are on record. Some are still mum. But, according to the Washington Post, several lawmakers were briefed on the technique as far back as 2002. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was part of that group. What does she think of waterboarding? She has been very quiet…Here is the other million dollar question: Should the U.S. engage in waterboarding if it would prevent a terrorist attack or save American lives? What would you do then?The Employer Sanctions Bill now faces another lawsuit. This times, the business coalitions are suing the County Attorneys. Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas joins Ankarlo this morning to talk about the lawsuit. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon talks with Ankarlo about Pruitt’s Furniture Protest. The Mayor would like to act as a mediator to see if the Sensings at Pruitt’s and Salvador Reza will come together.Today’s Holiday Hero is Maria Miller. Her son, Mykel, was killed in Afghanistan back in September. We invited Mrs. Miller to join Ankarlo today to tell her son’s story. Who was Mykel Miller? He was the guy everyone loved. He was full of life and his mom says he was a wise guy. The Ahwatukee News wrote a great story on him after his death. Read it here. I was especially moved by his entertaining a bunch of Afghani children with an Etch-A-Sketch. Mykel Miller was only 19.
