Can hunger make you happy?

All the recent polls have Obama on top, but this one says McCain beats Obama on the important Commander-in-Chief test.  It also says McCain remains competitive on Iraq.  So, Obama responds by saying he would send ten thousand more troops to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

The two candidates continue to fight about illegal immigration and the flip flopping label. In Mexico, police are probing hitmen ads on websites.

We know about IndyMac’s failure, but analysts expect more U.S. banks to fail.  But, don’t panic.  The stock market was done to some of the lowest levels in a decade.

The Mormon Church has ex-communicated a man who put together the shirtless Mormon hunk calendar.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s crime sweep in Mesa yielded 26 illegal immigrant arrests.

The Supreme Court struck down the restrictive D.C. gun ban recently.  But, now our nation’s Capitol will require a vision test, a written test, proof of residency, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.  Yes, they will make it as hard as possible to own a weapon.

A newspaper calls for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to resign.  They call her reckless as well.  Meanwhile, the Speaker sounds hawkish when she says Iran is a world problem and should be dealt with as such.

A  billboard in Florida is causing a stir.  It shows a picture of the Twin Towers on 9-11 with a caption that reads, “Please don’t vote for a Democrat.”
