Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Can the “bitch switch” be turned on and off by women? Ankarlo takes that one on. Author Don Corace just wrote a book eminent domain called Government Pirates. He stops by. Ankarlo chats about the economy too. Who is to blame for the credit mess, the spenders or the lenders? And who has more campaign gaffes so far, Obama or McCain?

Good morning,
I know that you get tons of emails. If you read this one or not who knows.
I think its funny how much the american populace has changed in the past 2 decades of my life. People now let TV and various types of the media tell them who and what to be they have no self identity.
TV has taken the place of common sense in this country in the eighties there were cars that got amazing fuel economy but safety was seat belts and the drivers responsibility not the governments. Reagan made a law that all manufacturers would have a certain percentage of vehicles that utilized alternative fuels by the year 1999 almost 16 years in the future airbags didnt exist nobody cared about crash tests or what the insurance institute said about the crash worthiness of a car. Geo had a 50 mpg car that would have failed all tests today it wouldnt get off the line due to the safety regulations. Clinton and Mr. enviroment Al Gore changed the regulation. Safety was more important funny how a 2007 Honda Civic weighs more than a 4-door 1972 Chevrolet impala. Safety first instead of people having to know the laws of the road and proper operation of a motor vehicle.
Starting in the first part of the eighties Ronald and Nancy Reagan officially began the WAR on drugs the american populace was fine with all our constitutional rights that in the name of that WAR were taken away but it was okay because we needed to stop the flow of drugs. But at what cost, then after 9/11 more rights were taken away in the name of security. This is by means a pro drug email.
How long has the war on drugs been going? How many billions or trillions of dollars have been spent to stop the flow of narcotics? How many american citizens rights have taken the back seat to just cause from search and seizure?
Now in america we hear the illegal aliens cry for rights they have yet to earn crying about Sherriff Joe and his Posse coming after them. What makes them any different than people suspected of illegal drugs?
Now americans are crying about the war in Iraq without knowing the true story of Iraq…Why because the media told them to cry. What about the war on drugs? Yes they have slowed the flow. But at what cost? Iraq is only in its infancy the war on drugs is old and losing when it started the Cocaine epidemic was out of control now almost non existent Meth has taken its place. We are still at war in Korea have been since the Korean war cease fire was called the war has never officially ended but the american people have chosen to forget.
Sorry for rambling but my point is The american people need to wake up take pride in who we are where are country came from take pride from all those who have sacrificed their lives for this great nation. Never forget those that had the knowledge of something beyond themselves greater than all and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect it. Remember that we all have certain inalienable rights that currently are alienated from us daily more and more by the year. Sad but true.
Needed to vent,
Mark Lennartz
