The FBI is investigating Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and AIG.  Good news for Goldman Sachs.  Billionare Investor Warren Buffett will invest $5 billion in the bank saying, “Goldman Sachs is an exceptional institution.”  Bad credit card debt, car and student loand have been added (quietly) to the $700billion bailout.  Here is a good one:  A poll says Americans oppose bailouts of private companies, but they trust Obama more on the economy (he’s the king of handouts).

The Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution for a Georgia man.  Troy Davis was accused of killing a police officer in 1989, but seven of the nine witnesses that testified against him have recanted their stories.  The Court will now consider Davis’ appeal.

A UMASS Chaplain wanted to let college students receive a couple of credits if they campaigned for Obama.  The school wisely decided this wasn’t a good idea.

It’s official.  The speed cameras have been okayed and they could start sending out tickets on Friday.  Yay.

Remember the teenage girl who got in a fight with her bus driver?  She has been found guilty and sentenced to 24 hours of community service.  I’m sure she has learned her lesson.

Payday Loan companies are bankrolling a ballot measure this year in order to keep their businesses in tact (by this I mean charging outrageous interest rates).

Instead of showing leadership, the Democratic Congress will let the offshore drilling ban expire.  The good news is that there will be more drilling.  The bad news is that instead of taking this up as an issue and helping to lead Congress punted.

Pakistan claims they have shot down a US military drone.  This on top of firing on US helicopters and warning they will shoot at the troops too.

Obama is trying to paint McCain as elitist because he has seven houses and thirteen cars.  Come on, can’t we just admit they are both elitist and get the vote on already?
