Financial Mess. Smile!
Let’s talk about the great Americans who have steadily been law abiding and tax-paying people who have never missed a payment. Because the president did and now some of you are writing to ask me what’s in it for you with this economic bailout.
Let me answer you with a question: Have you ever been dragged into a company staff meeting and the boss screams about a broken system or the complaints of terrible customer service or corruption that might lead to jail? And, while you’re sitting at the conference table as your co-workers wonder who’s to blame or who caused a late breaking scandal you quietly begin to smile? You do it on the inside because you know that nothing the boss is saying applies to you. It’s a wonderful sense of satisfaction and security mixed with a healthy dose of pride because you know in your heart of hearts that you are not caught up in any of it. This bailout is aimed at helping the nation repair problems caused by so many bad decisions by so many people but those of you who have done it the right way—smile. Smile broadly and with confidence.
