Today on Ankarlo Mornings: It’s Halloween and Ankarlo wants to talk about white noise and ghost tours. So he invites the co-owners of Ghosts of Phoenix to tell ghost stories.

Also, how can you still be an undecided voter? There are only a few days left before the election.

Ankarlo also talks about prop 202 to try to figure out if it really will water down the Arizona Employer Sanctions Law. He also chats with County Attorney Andrew Thomas on today’s show.

Undecided, still?

October 31, 2008

According to the latest polls 1 in 7 US voters are still persuadable at this late stage in the election year.  1 in 7.  What this means is after almost 2 solid years of news stories, public appearances, debates and almost a billion dollars in advertising a good chunk of us are still waiting to be sold on a reason to push the button for McCain or Obama.  Unbelievable!

Political scientists have a reason for this phenomenon:  the roughly 14 percent don’t follow politics, don’t care or are—how can I put this politely—dumb.  Now for the fun part:  Obama leads McCain by less than six points in national polls and is tied in battleground states so these non-caring, non-involved or dumb citizens could give him a landslide or provide a victory to the Arizona senator.  Those of us who carefully follow the elections should no doubt feel a little disturbed that this group may decide the election but how would I wonder how the politicians feel after their focus groups, 20 hour days and millions of miles of travel.  Political science gives way to political deal or no deal.

Ankarlo’s Take is written for broadcast.  You can hear it each weekday during Arizona’s Morning News at 7:20.

Real change!

October 30, 2008

Congratulations are in order for ASU, sort of.  As I’ve been telling you, to get an education degree from the school students were required to use a textbook written by domestic terrorist and sell professed Marxist Bill Ayers.

Ayers has joined communist leaders, most recently at a rally with Hugo Chavez, in saying that the revolution begins in the schools and he is on record telling people that his desire to go into education was to train the future of our country into his beliefs and boy has he!  Our kids don’t know what Big Brother or Socialism are about and have zero clues about our Constitution.  Good job Mr. Ayers you’ve succeeded and your cancer has spread across the nation.  However, after pressure, ASU has backed down on the required textbook and inserted an alternative if kids wish.  Thank you for doing the right thing though you should never have allowed it in the first place.  Now this might be Change We Can Believe In!Ankarlo’s Take is written for broadcast.  You can hear it live every weekday at 7:20 during Arizona’s morning news.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Ankarlo is talking the vote, though he can’t wait for this election to be over. Diane is voting in her first election and she is set to mail in her ballot. Ankarlo tries to encourage her to vote in person.

Also, Ankarlo focuses on William Ayers. He’s an admited Marxist and it turns out in 2006 he gave a speech in Venezuela where he said education is the revolution. Yes, the way to enact change is through education.

Fritz Wenzel from Zogby gives us the polling update. As of today, Obama leads by 7. But, the race isn’t over yet.

Also, Ankarlo talks Propositions 200 and 100 that we will be voting on in Arizona.

Depression Obama.

October 29, 2008

I have been going through a bout with depression lately.  In a nutshell, I’m depressed because I am disappointed with this election season.   I am just a little freaked that Barack Obama is a step away from the Oval Office and yet most of us know almost nothing about him and when people like me ask—we are openly chastised.  The hatred is palpable and that’s what’s disappointing.  Look—Obama may be the next president and may be the best we’ve ever had but should we really just follow blindly—without questions?  Austria and Germany did it once upon a time but that’s not the American Way!  So far we have discounted Rev. Wright, Communist Frank Davis, PLO member Rashid Khalidi, convicted swindler Tony Rezko, terrorist Bill Ayers, Kenya’s murderer Odinga, millions in untraceable contributions, “spread the wealth” and the list goes on.  People asking for details are “haters”—or, the one his supporters really like to use, “not ready for a black president.”  Is there any chance we just want to know because as Americans—who are trying to vote wisely—we deserve honest answers?

Ankarlo’s Take is written for broadcast.  You can hear it live every weekday at 7:20 during Arizona’s morning news.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Ankarlo expresses his disappointment in America. Disappointment that we can’t find answers to questions about Obama. If you ask questions you are labeled a racist or they just laugh. But, what about Obama’s associations with Rev. Wright, Frank Marshall Davis, Rashid Khaldi, Tony Rezko, William Ayers, Raili Odinga and ACORN?

Ankarlo talks to Tom McArdle from Investor’s Business Daily about socialim in America.

Also, Steve Voeller from the Arizona Free Enterprise Club supports Prop 105, majority rule. John Wright from the AEA is opposed to it.

Ankarlo takes your calls today and talks about your topics.
