Obama’s Tax Welfare.
Senator Barack Obama has been up by 11 national points over Senator John McCain though in the past few days the sometimes Republican’s numbers are within striking distance. So, tonight, if McCain has any hope for the White House he needs to dismantle Obama’s flaws—especially the ones that give him a huge lead where it’s not warranted—on the economy. Obama’s plan sounds great, “when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” No doubt it will attract votes, but it is unworkable.
34 to 46 percent of Americans don’t pay taxes so for 95% to get a tax cut means 1) the math is tragic and 2) a whole bunch of people, mostly small business owners, will be carrying more of the weight—and a lot of freeloaders will get yearly checks just for being American. “I want to provide a tax cut for 95% of Americans.” Yep, that’s Obama clearly explaining his plan—spread the wealth around. Would someone please explain how the government ever has the right to get into my checkbook and give my money to other people. Mr. McCain, if you want a fighting chance—would you please make this point?Ankarlo’s Take is written for broadcast. I love your show and listen as often as I can. I am one of many people who are upset about this election. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a single working mother of two who doesn’t make very much money. Last year I made less than $20,000. I didn’t finish college; I have some really great excuses for it but the fact is I didn’t finish. I didn’t go after the high paying jobs and I have some great excuses for that too. Last year I had a total $141 in federal taxes taken out of my paychecks. In return I received a refund of $5048. I also received free health care for myself and my children. Barack Obama feels that is not enough. He feels that you have too much money and you should give more to me. Never mind the fact that you struggled and went hard after your dream and achieved the success and money you deserve. I didn’t do that so it isn’t fair for you to keep your money.
Darrell, I made choices in my life. Those choices had consequences. I do not want you to pay for the choices I made. Unfortunately there are too many people who believe that you should pay more so they can do less. That’s why Obama will likely win this election. My vote will go to John McCain.
As a side note - I work for a mid-size company that does not offer health insurance. If Obama forces them to provide insurance to all its employees I wonder if I will be one of the people they have to let go because they can’t afford the premiums.
