October 30, 2008

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Ankarlo is talking the vote, though he can’t wait for this election to be over. Diane is voting in her first election and she is set to mail in her ballot. Ankarlo tries to encourage her to vote in person.

Also, Ankarlo focuses on William Ayers. He’s an admited Marxist and it turns out in 2006 he gave a speech in Venezuela where he said education is the revolution. Yes, the way to enact change is through education.

Fritz Wenzel from Zogby gives us the polling update. As of today, Obama leads by 7. But, the race isn’t over yet.

Also, Ankarlo talks Propositions 200 and 100 that we will be voting on in Arizona.

Let me start by saying that I am not affiliated with any political party. However, I lean conservative on some issues (the economy, abortion, the Constitution) and lean liberal on others (the environment and marriage). What really scares me is that a lot of Americans just want change, even if it means trampling the Constitution. The only change Obama offers is changing from capitalism to socialism and our Constitution is incompatible with socialism.

I am afraid the Democrat’s first priority will be to rewrite the Constitution, then decimate the military, finish the destruction the economy through taxation and redistribution of wealth, and finally to have our childrens children pay for their uncontrolled spending. Oh, I didn’t mention that I am also a optimist. My hope is that if Obama wins, that the Democrat’s will be so busy high fiving, that 4 years will pass with minimal damage and everyone that voted Democrat will realize that they were “played” and vote there sorry butts out!.

What would be really nice is if we had a total reset of government. In other words, that everyone currently in government had to vacate when their current term was up. We need new blood in office! We need new ideas! We need real change, not false change. Since we have such a short term memory problem in this country, every TV station, movie channel, theater should play this weekend: The Patriot, Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan, Glory, The Right Stuff, Men Of Honor, and even Born On The 4th Of July. While these movies are not 100% accurate, I come away from watching them with a keener appreciation for our history and what has been sacrificed to get us here.

I will be wearing red, white and blue on Tuesday….but I think most folks will just be wearing red.

    Greg

Got something to say?
