Victimless Crimes?

November 18, 2008

Another senseless murder happened when an illegal immigrant—under the influence—slammed into a car taking a couple of Valley students to a band competition.  The non-citizen has been here for 14 years, proving that he disrespects our border laws as much as our drunken driving laws.  Meanwhile, those border laws will soon be changing as President-Elect Obama met with amnesty lover McCain on Monday to discuss the nation’s direction on the very issue.  If you want a clue how it will turn out just look to Houston, Texas where 75% of the more than 3,500 inmates who admitted their illegal status, and were being held on charges including sexual assault, drug distribution, rapes and other violent offenses have been released from jail.

Why?  Because authorities didn’t want to deal with the paperwork partly because their understaffed and partly because they expect immigration standards to change.  Meanwhile, this victimless crime continues to claim more lives, there and here.  Since no one gets killed in these stories—what do we tell the families of the victims?

Ankarlo’s Take is written for broadcast.  You can hear it here or live during Arizona’s Morning News at 7:20 on News/Talk 92.3 KTAR.

i know this is off topic, but i would like you to do a story on the chinese fur farms. this is one of the most horrific animal abuse scenarios i have ever seen. they use dogs and cats and skin them alive because they don’t want to spend money to humanely euthanize. there is a horrible video on the peta website, click on chinese fur. this is something the entire country should be made aware of,maybe if enough outrage is generated we can stop this horrific suffering. please say something about this, you have the airwave to help.

    “DUI Dead People Speak”

It wasn’t in the race, color or sex! It was in the alcohol and everything alcoholic related. We see dead people all the time, white, red, brown, black, yellow and mexican. It wasn’t in the race, color or sex! It was in the alcohol! So how about a Alcohol Tax and a Beer Tax to offset the alcoholic contest at your local Liquor Establishments!

Got something to say?
