Producer Rob here. I’ve seen Ankarlo twice in the past couple weeks. He’s looking really good and has made significant progress. He should return to work sooner rather than later. We still aren’t sure on a date though. I will keep you updated.

Eric and Jay Z obviously don’t actually listen to the content of what Ankarlo talks about on his show. He is a very compassionate person about other peoples plight. If you can’t see that, what a shame. And as far as compassion goes, Eric, you really missed the boat on having any compassion for anyone except yourself. That is proven once again by the hatred you spew on this page and God knows where else. Fortunately Ankarlo has a great following in the valley and a good percentage of us enjoy his rhetoric daily.

Who’s your Healthcare Provider?
Sara, Ankarlo speaks ill of others all of the time. He may have a following but not huge by any stretch of the imagination. I finally tuned him out altogether. I was however just bashed on another website when I referenced Ankarlo. They replied back that I did not know him if I did I would know that his son, Adam, took his own life. Is that true? and if it is I do pray for Darrell and his wife.
Dell and Jay Z; I guess at this point we can agree to disagree on some things. I don’t know anything about Ankarlos personal life or his families dealings. Those are his personal business and none of mine and I agree that if something tragic has happened then my prayers go out to him (them). I also don’t know his history from Texas, I just assumed KTAR got a good deal and maybe stole him away from TX. I just know that I enjoy listening to him and don’t honestly hear any of the prejudice I hear about from others. I consider him an honest person on the air and he has always seemed fair and honest with the callers or stories he is covering.
I do appreciate though both of your opinions and appreciate the reasonable way you wrote them without being sarcastic or abusive. Like I said I will continue to listen and am looking forward to having him back on the air, and on that I guess we will just disagree.

Sarah, so when do you think KTAR will force it commentators to condemn the immature, hateful and threatening behavior of health care town hall protesters. This station will only truly have my respect when they do this. Not that they care what I think. By the way check out McMahon’s opinion on the matter.

We need a Public Option, just like they had in the 60’s in Arizona. It worked then, and it can work now. It’s the difference between 362.00 per individual plus 2. it hurts me when folks don’t say kind words regarding ankarlo - i have not been listening to ktar much since his accident - so want him to return - i think he is very fair regarding his comments - also love to hear about lori and the rest of his family. i think he is a very classy replacement - thank you to the folks who made the decision to hire him -
Jan; I absolutely agree and it is very refreshing to read some positive comments on Ankarlo once in a while. This seems to become an Ankarlo bashing area anytime there is an update on his condition or situation.
I too am eagerly looking forward to his return and hearing his voice on the radio again. I enjoy his sense of humor as well as his topics.

I just went back and read some of the comments. I didn’t think this was the forum for nay sayers to have a conversation with each other. Find another discussion group to vent your opinions until Akarlo is back and can address the issues and there are plenty of topics from which to choose!.

I just want to say that I miss Ankarlo in the morning on my way to classes at ASU. I think Autin Hill especially has done a great job and I hope he gets his own show,but I am looking foward to Ankarlo coming back healthy and healed.

Roger, get a life. Your president is screwing up just as bad as bush. By pushing socialized healthcare, a no fly list, and by putting an attorney general in who has basically classified all Americans as terrorists he has shown his true colors. Also, if John McCain’s Pastor had said HALF of what Jeremiah Wright had said, he would have been pulled out of the run for president and then publicly shunned as the most racist man on the planet, but because it was a black man, making racist and judgmental remarks about the white man, it is acceptable. Not only that, but Jeremiah Wright was preaching hatred of America. If McCain had been caught in that Church, there is no way in hell he would have been absolved from that. I miss ankarlo and wish him well. I was so sorry to hear about the accident. I too had a barain injury. I was only 17 then. I’m 61 now and have had many good years. 5 wks in a coma and a broken neck. I was too young and dumb to realize the long range ramifications of it all. There is good help out there now for Bruised Brain Syndrome. God bless you Darrell. You are in our prayers.
Ankarlo WAS NOT kicked out of Texas he had top ratings up until he left and he is still missed in the Dallas area. Glad to hear he is on the mend and back on the air even though it is in Arizona and not Texas.
