Today on Ankarlo Mornings:  Ankarlo reacts to Whoopi Goldberg’s take on Roman Polanski.  She says it wasn’t “rape-rape.”  Huh?  Also, why a man was duct taped to a flag pole and the new gun laws go into effect in Arizona today.  Are you carrying your gun into a restaurant?

Wednesday on Ankarlo Mornings:

Did you hear what Whoopi Goldberg said about Roman Polanski?  She says it wasn’t “rape rape.”  Then what was it?  Ankarlo reacts to this strongly.  He thinks she’s lost it.  Watch the clip.

So a drunk man goes to a VFW and tries to order a drink.  He’s denied.  The man gets mad and burns the flag outside the VFW.  The VFW commander finds the man tells him he needs to make up for his sins.  The unnamed man agreed to be duct taped to the flag pole for six hours.

Also, new gun laws go into effect in Arizona today.  Are you bringing your gun to your favorite restaurant?  Remember you can only carry it in if the weapon is concealed.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings:  President Obama is calling for a long school year.  Ankarlo disagrees saying we have to allow kids to be kids.  60 minutes released a poll saying the best symbol of America is Wal-Mart.  Huh?  How did that happen?  Also, a gang murder is caught on tape in Chicago.  But, don’t be fooled.  Gangs are here in Phoenix.  Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon explains what the city is doing to fight gangs.  In Ankarlo’s final half hour…teens in prison being setenced to life without parole for non-murder offenses.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings:  The priest, the stripper and their baby.  No lie.  It’s a true story out of Miami.  Ankarlo believes the government might be hiding something in the Oklahoma City Bombing case.  Rob and Diane aren’t necessarily buying it.  Iran is acting up.  Ankarlo plays the president and explains how he would handle it.  And an 8 month old baby died after being put down for a nap in a bathtub.  Should the mother be charged?

Ankarlo Tuesday

September 29, 2009

Today on Ankarlo Mornings:

President Obama is calling for year round schooling.  Ankarlo says this is a bad idea.  First of, we don’t let kids be kids anymore.  Second, can we even afford a longer school year?  Third, more school days doesn’t guarantee anything.  Let’s make the most out of our current system.

CBS released results from a new poll.  It’s very interesting.  Most people say something that most symbolizes America is Wal-Mart.  And more people would want to trade places with George Clooney for a week and Barack Obama (but just barely).  Who really wants to be President for a week?  But, what should really be the symbol of America?  Can you think of anything better?

Gang violence in Chicago is nothing new.  But, last week someone captured video of an honor’s student being beaten to death.  It’s now all over the media.  The story is just awful.  How does that relate to Phoenix?  Mayor Phil Gordon joins Ankarlo to talk about the success Phoenix has had fighting gangs.

Here’s another one:  Should teenagers convicted of crimes (that aren’t murder) be put in jail for life?  The Supreme Court will determine if these sentences amount to cruel and unusual punishment.  Ankarlo weighs in too.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings:  Is Glenn Beck bad for conservatives?  Ankarlo doesn’t think so, others do.  A woman was implanted with the wrong embryo and now she is being forced to give up the baby.  Wow.  Who should keep the baby?  Also, Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon blames the media for Phoenix’s lack of conventions and John Edwards is among the worst human beings on the planet.
