Ankarlo is back

September 15, 2009

Today is the day.  After five months, Darrell Ankarlo returns to News/Talk 92.3 KTAR at 9am.  He will return on a limited schedule to help him rebuild his strength.  He will be on the air today and tomorrow from 9-11am and return for a regular Mon-Wed schedule from 9-11am.  Thank you for all your patience and your prayers!  Ankarlo is very much looking forward to talking with you again.  He’s never had much patience to begin with, so the wait has been killing him.

Listen to the two hour return here.

I won the tickets to the Diamondbacks game about a week before your accident. I’ve missed hearing your voice on the radio for these last few months. I am amazed at how great you sound back today. The story of your recovery was powerful. Your faith and strength are inspiring! WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back! We are a family (kids: 21y,19, &17y now), that loves KTAR Talk Radio. We have been listening since the kids were still babies and are so happy to hear “Ankarlooo” this morning. My 19 year old, Brent who became visually impaired at 6y from Influenza B Virus is SO excited but had to go to his Transitional classes at the Foundation for Blind Children (8am-3pm) this morning and so I recorded (on my phone) the beginning of the show for him this morning. He missed you and wondered where you went. But with his losing his Best friend and Best Grandma from Cancer, I didnt know how he’d feel to tell him what i heard last week. But i told him and he went into a daze. At this time, to me im thinking he’s thinking, another one of his favorites got hurt. SO sometimes im thinking he’s afraid to have favorites. This time I know he will be surprised and happy to hear your voice again . So again, glad to be hearing your voice on the radio. Welcome back! Donna

Welcome back Darrell.. I sat and cried for the first hour. We had no idea what you and Lourie and the kids went through. We had and still been praying for you. Praise God on His healing power.

We love you and are glad you are back, Bob and Pam

    Dear Darrell,

I just listened to the story of what you went through…….and, it was so unbelieveable….from the officers that ticketed you pulling you out of the wreck and how you got worse….leaving the air and the long road back through therapy. Even though we weren’t “close friends” in Dallas, I did develop a respect for you and your family and for what all of you are like, it was emotional to hear what you went through!
I know many of you listeners in Dallas who hear about your ordeal will feel like I do….
thank God for looking over you and am so glad you have nearly completed your recovery. Like you said, for a minute you were fast on your way to meet you Lord,
but, just not fast enough! No speeding ticket for this one!

    Sincerely,

    Ralph Goin

Wonderful to hear your voice again, what a journey you have been on. Is there a book in there somewhere? God Bless and thanks to all the people who has filled in, they did a good job.

Oh Great Oz Ankarlo, Hero of the Hood, “Another Man’s Sombrero” Welcome back! Welcome back to the Race baited Arizona days and nights. Arizona Ranked 93rd in America for the worse place to live. Wow, that’s a wonder! It’s like pre-Hitlerien days in Arizona.

Crime Suppression Sweeps for brown skin, brown eyed men, women, children whom after being forced by gunpoint, their nationality and or naturalization.

Single Site Operations for brown skin, brown eyed, Obama alike men, women, and children being profiled near a park, a school, and now a “Mercado” SWAP meets.

    No Revenue Legislation just cuts!
No Revenue Legislation budgetary ways and means! Just cuts! Just GOP Tax Encentives to build WATERPARKS with EEV “Reprieves”

“Sanctions” Forced Business Attestations of ones employees, staff, Social Security information, aka I9. Email, phone records and expense report warrants

Sanctioned Business Opportunity, by way of “Notarization” of one’s “Choice.”
Sanctioned Business Opportunities by way of all of the above.

    Fear for sale!

Border Economic Speculation on behalf of the Prisons for Profit built on the speculation of HIGH IIMPACT numbers of brown skin, brown eyed detained, rendered and jailed.

And no Beer Tax to just Mexican brown skin for Grant Money. It’s Like Swisher Texas all over again. We got a “HOTLINE” just like Der Furor did when he wanted to hand out “J” Patches to all that called and informed on thy neighbor!

It’s great to live in Arizona if you are “caucasion” at least for now! Once the REAL ID comes into play, then everyone will feel the “Chicken and Change” in America. The PAYBACK, the GOP GETBACK!

    Darrell,

Just listened to the show via the podcast download (thanks KTAR for providing it) and have to say it was very moving. You’re a great guy, and I’m glad you were able to pull through and make it back on the air. Your recovery is our gain.

  12. Cecile on September 18th, 2009 12:20 pm

Oh-my-gosh! Thank you KTAR for backing Darrell this year . . . Darrell Ankarlo, we love you here in Texas and have awaited your return with baited breath . . . so-to-speak. (Even if we are hearing you through the Internet!)

Praise God for your recovery and may you continue to be energized and healed to the max! We know this sort of injury will take a while but we look forward to once again hearing, that little twinkle in your voice and your caring ways.

Darrell, you make a positive difference in our lives, so many people benefit and are encouraged and informed by your presence on the air: keep-on-keeping on!

    Sincerely,

    Darrell,

I just heard Glenn Beck talking about your accident and recovery. I was initially stunned, but am so pleased about your recovery efforts. We miss you here in DFW and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Sincerely,
    Frank

  14. Nancy Lochridge on September 18th, 2009 9:03 pm

    Darrell:

I couldn’t believe it when I heard Glenn Beck mention your name this morning, & THEN the terrible trauma you have been through. We were in a near fatal accident when we first moved to Dallas, so we know a little about head traumas!

Your strength & faith have overcome the odds, & we’re glad you are getting stronger every day. You will NEVER know how much we miss you here in this area.

You’re needed in this battle for our country and sane government!

Got something to say?
