Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Ankarlo says it was a great decision for Elizabeth Edwards to not divorce John Edwards. Why? For the children. She proved that a mother’s love can withstand anything.
Also, Alonzo joins Ankarlo today two days before he heads to Beijing to watch his brother Henry Cejudo wrestle.
Speaking of wrestling, Ankarlo says a Connecticut high school wrestler who put his genitals in another’s face should be charged with sexual assault.
Fritz Wenzel joins Ankarlo today. Obama is losing ground as more and more people are moving into the undecided camp. Plus, McCain’s celebrity ads have been working.
Finally, Ankarlo saw Tropic Thunder last night. He doesn’t think people should be offended, but he has noticed America has become much more of a shock culture. We constantly need to be bigger and better.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Ankarlo is on a tear. 26-year old Eboni Perri plead guilty to charged of attempted child abuse. Judge Timothy Ryan sentenced her to lifetime probation after the county attorney’s office recommended a sentence of 15 years. Judge Ryan is not allowed to comment on individual cases, so there hasn’t been any comment there.
Here are the facts: 2-year old Nakeisha Walker died two days after her second birthday. She weighed 14 pounds at the time. There was no baby formula, cups, plates or utensils in the home. Nakeisha was also born with neurological problems due to her mother’s cocaine and marijuana use while she was pregnant. Her mom, Eboni Perri was taking her daughter to therapy, but inexplicably stopped a few months before her death. Perri also took out a life insurance policy on her daughter a month before she died. No jail time though. Thanks Judge Ryan.
In case you are wondering, Tracy Wareing runs Arizona’s Child Protective Services. CPS had been to Perri’s home five times.
Also today, Ankarlo says his show could be silenced if some in Congress have their way. The Fairness Doctrine could make a return.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Who knew the Olympic opening ceremony was fake? The fireworks were fake, the little girl that the world fell in love with was lip signing. So is anything in the Olympics real? Plus, China is pulling a Russia from 25 years ago. They are faking out the world so we say, “they aren’t that bad.”
Also, Ankarlo says the US should be careful with how we tread in the conflict between Russia and Georgia. Georgia is an ally, but do we really want a war with Russia?
Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon drops by to tell us about his appointment as the head of a task force on immigration. Congressman Charlie Rangel is calling for amnesty on illegal immigrants as well. Thanks Charlie. He even called the Sheriffs who are enforcing immigration laws bad guys.
Here is a question for you: Would you choose a gadget such as a TV over a weekend with a hot lady?
Ankarlo also noticed something since John Edwards has admitted to having an affair. The attention has turned to John McCain when he cheated on his first wife.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: John Edwards admits to having an affair. But, does it matter? He’s politically irrelevant and yes, he is a liar. The shock factor has worn off though. Just look at the list of cheaters, JFK, Bill Clinton, David Vitter, Larry Craig (just to name a few).
Also, Ron Suskind tells Ankarlo why he thinks the Bush White House lied about Iraq’s WMDs.
The Phoenix Police Department has been trying for two years to get their officers rifles. But, management keeps blocking their requests. Late last month, the police responded to an attempted suicide. But, they had to shoot the perp. He ended up pointing the gun at police. Then the police had to shoot him from over 100 yards away with a pistol.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: The Olympics kick off tonight and Ankarlo will be watching the opening ceremonies, but he won’t buy all their propaganda. Also, Ankarlo can’t believe Osama Bin Laden’s driver, Salim Hamdan is only going to serve another six months in jail. He could be released before inauguration day. He was Bin Laden’s driver.
Diane has a new cream that will help reduce saggage. Ankarlo wants to know more. And finally, Ankarlo wonders why the national news lead with a story about an assassination threat against Barack Obama. Oh, he also threatened to kill President Bush too. Ankarlo says that should be the lead, not Obama.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: Ankarlo is live from Barnes & Noble at the Tempe Marketplace. Today, Ankarlo wonders why a man would smoke when he uses oxygen tanks to breathe. A local man has blown himself up doing just that.
There are reports that the Mexican military held a US Border Patrol agent at gunpoint on American soil. They let him go without firing a shot after the agent explained (in Spanish) that they were in America. Whoops says the Mexican government.
Also, contact music has listed the top ten worst songs ever made. Ankarlo reacts.
State Rep. Russell Pearce joins Ankarlo to talk about the flier going around about him and his first marriage as he is running for State Senate. It says he has a violent temper and even struck his wife. Pearce says none of that ever happened.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings: More and more European men are wearing tights and wearing make up. Honestly, it freaks Ankarlo out a little bit.
Tyson Foods in Tennessee employees 700 Muslims. They wanted the final day of Ramadan off. So the company granted them that day and will have employees work on Labor Day.
In the final hour, Val has been wanting to debate Ankarlo about his book, Another Man’s Sombrero. Val got his chance, but it wasn’t much of a debate. Ankarlo also mentions Barack Obama’ s new ad in which he pledges to impose a windfall profits tax on the big oil companies.

Today on Ankarlo Mornings the staff is spread all over the place. Pablo is off. Darrin and Rob remain in Phoenix. Diane is in Flagstaff at Cardinals camp and Ankarlo is in Vegas. Diane reports from camp with Ron Wolfley and Kurt Warner.
Obama calls for a tax on Exxon Mobil and other oil companies to pay for another stimulus package. Ankarlo says socialism.
Ankarlo also chats about Sheriff Joe Arpaio latest. He arrested food vendors yesterday and all 11 of them turned out to be illegal immigrants.
