Did the Lakers slip by with a win?

Here’s what went down Wednesday on a technically-challenged G&A…

Sports 620 KTAR’s Jon Bloom filled in for the vacationing Gambo

* Dose of Their Own Medicine. LA survived Game 4 last night in San Antonio to take a 3-1 series lead. Ash thinks Derek Fisher and the Lakers got away with one. Bloomer didn’t think Brent Barry “sold” the controversial collision like a “true Spur” would and felt the no-call was the right call. Ash hates both teams, but hates the Spurs more. Both wouldn’t have any problem kicking dirt on the Spurs’ grave- which could happen tomorrow night at Staples Center.

* Bloomer & Ash debated whether Robert Horry will one day land in the Hall of Fame. Both wonder why “Big Shot Bob” doesn’t shoot anymore.

* ASU AD Lisa Love checked in to preview the baseball regional this weekend (Sun Devils play Stony Brook on Friday in Tempe) and the women’s CWS (Sun Devils play Alabama tomorrow in Oklahoma City). She also discussed the sudden revival of the ASU wrestling program.

* World Series of Poker Star David Negreanu joined the show. The former high school drop-out has made nearly $10 million in his decade-long career. “Kid Poker” ranks second amongst all-time money winners on the WPT circuit.

* Vai Sikahema is going to fight Jose Canseco. Ash & Bloomer discussed and wondered just how far Canseco has fallen.

Tomorrow: the return of Gambo.

Guests: ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler and Cards’ offensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast

If the Spurs had received the proper foul calls earlier in the 4th game they would not have been close enough for that last play with Barry and Fischer to matter. One such moment was a non call when Duncan got a basket in the 1st quarter and was traveling with the ball.
