The Bob Melvin Show

Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin joined Gambo & Ash on Wednesday afternoon. Melvin addressed what the Diamondbacks are looking for as the trade deadline nears and also the possibility of signing a veteran that is currently not with a team, such as Barry Bonds or Kenny Lofton.

    You have got to be kidding! Barry Bonds! Why am I not even surprised?! It sounds like something the D-Back management would do…

    1. Get rid of the most loved player in Az. and later sign the most disliked player in all of baseball to fill his position.

    2. Humiliate Jason Grimsley by firing him during a game, practically on the jumbo-tron, and then hire the most notorious steriod user known to man! (By Bond’s own mouth)

    3. Clean house of all the player’s the Az fans love saying they are too old and expensive to keep and then replace them with players that are so old and expensive that no other team will sign them!

    Come to think of it, that does sound like “playing the Diamondback way.”
