Here’s what went down Friday on G&A

No Victory for USC - Oregon State shocked the college football world by knocking off top-ranked USC last night in Corvallis.  Gambo & Johnny V. broke down what happened to Pete Carroll’s team.  Gambo thinks the Trojans overlook inferior teams every year (Stanford last year, the Beavers last night).  Johnny V. still feels USC is not only the most talented team in the Pac-10, but one of the best in the country.  The guys agree this is certainly a big missed opportunity for the Trojans but another big upset for Mike Riley and the Beavers and you never know what to expect from these crazy Thursday night games.

1997 Butkus Award winner and one of the best linebackers in Ohio State history Andy Katzenmoyer discussed his rise to fame with the Buckeyes in Columbus and his eventual fall from glory after his NFL career was cut short due to injury in 2002.  He also expressed his frustration with the Sports Illustrated article which slammed his class schedule at Ohio State University.  Katzenmoyer has since opened L.I.F.T fitness in Westerville, Ohio with his wife.

Jet-setters? - The Cards are preparing for Brett Favre and the Jets on Sunday.  Johnny V. feels, with the tough schedule ahead, this is a must-win game.  Gambo doesn’t feel this isn’t a must-win game, but the Red Birds need to learn to win on the road and there’s no better time than this weekend.

World renowned sports handicapper Brandon Lang joined the show to take calls and shared his thoughts and insight on this weekend’s big football matchups around the country.  Lang liked TCU, Virginia Tech, and Purdue to cover the number this weekend.

Our ESPN NFL analyst Mark Schlereth checked in for his weekly segment to break down the Cards’ disappointing loss last weekend D.C. and convey what he thinks might happen Sunday against the Brett Favre and the Jets.  He also explained how the Dolphins were able to run all over the Patriots last week at Foxboro.
