Bouncing Back

Here’s what went down Thursday on G&A…

Short show this afternoon after matinee baseball at Chase Field…

Bouncing Back…The Dbacks got a much-needed win, avoiding a sweep at the hands of the Giants at Chase Field.  Chris Young redeemed himself for a big misplay in centerfield Wednesday night with two great catches and a couple hits.  G&A know “CY” can track down balls headed for the gap as well as anyone, but both concur he needs to start hitting soon.  The guys also weighed in on the “tribute” to Randy Johnson Wednesday night at the ballpark.  The ho-hum 50-second video was followed by a not-so-genuine tip-of-the-cap from Johnson.  G&A are happy the D-backs acknowledged the accomplishment but didn’t over-do it for the surly Johnson.

We were joined by Coyotes’ captain and good friend of the show SHANE DOAN.  The ‘Yotes future here in Arizona is in serious jeopardy with rumors of a potential move to Hamilton, Ontario in the works.  He expects the Coyotes to remain in Glendale - at least for another year.  “Doaner” is predicting an upset tomorrow in Detroit with Sidney Crosby and the Pens lifting Lord Stanley’s Cup after the deciding Game 7 in Detroit.

Ash caught up with Dream Team Olympic Gold Medalist, 2-time All-Star, and arguably the best point guard in the NBA, CHRIS PAUL.  The New Orleans Hornets captain shared his thoughts on their season, the NBA Finals and his experience last summer in Beijing as a part of Jerry Colangelo’s hand-picked Dream Team.  CP3 is casually watching the NBA Finals and says he’ll be happy for either Kobe or Dwight Howard to win the championship.

Friday we’ll be joined by ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler

Good job not knowing final game of Finals is Game 7 and not Game 5.
And also, the Penguins won. :)
