Gambo & Ash: September 26, 2007

Here’s what went down today on G&A

* Matrix speaks out and says he wants to be traded. Gambo & Ash agree it’s now time to move Marion. Ash thinks a trade to the Lakers is beneficial in a couple of ways. One: Lamar Odom is a better fit with the Suns than lazy AK-47. Two: Ash isn’t so sure the Suns could beat the Jazz with ‘Trix in Utah. Gambo shot down any ideas that Phoenix would pursue Jermaine O’Neal.

* Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin checked in for his weekly segment - said he never considered moving Brandon Webb back in the rotation to pitch in Colorado. Webbie has struggled against the Rocks.

* We were also joined by veteran clubhouse leader Diamondbacks first baseman Tony Clark, who praised BoMel and the Snakes younger players who have stepped in for injured players like Big Unit, O-Dog, and Chad Tracy. TC said one day he’d like to be a manager.

* ASU Athletic Director Lisa Love previewed the Devils first road game this Saturday at Stanford.

Tomorrow’s Guests:

Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh

ASU wide receiver Mike Jones

Steelers offensive tackle Marvel Smith
