Gambo & Ash: September 27, 2007

Here’s what went down today on G&A

* BoMel decides to start Micah Owings this morning in Pittsburgh, pushing Brandon Webb back to Friday to start in Colorado. Micah stepped up on the bump and at the dish. D-Backs’ magic number currently 2 for playoffs and 3 for the NL West - HUGE series at Coors Field.

* G&A agree Micah deserves a spot in the post-season rotation instead of Livan Hernandez. Both agree the rookie can help on the hill and at the plate.

* Former ASU star and Steeler left tackle Marvel Smith joined the guys to preview Sunday’s game in Glendale against the Cards.

* The guys discussed the latest Shawn Marion trade news - both agree he is still on the block. Ash thinks Matrix gets plenty of love from the Suns.

* Stanford football coach Jim Harbaugh previewed their game against ASU.

  1. 1 Mario

Hey guys, I just want to ask that if the suns did trade Marion, where would you guys think the most likely place he would end up and if he got traded for Odom from L.A do you guys think that will make us better, since he’ll add size and he won’t have to depend on Nash as Marion does.

  2. 2 Mike Navarro

I heard a caller mention a game where a team was penalized for the fans being to loud. I also remember a professional football game where the home team was penalized for this reason. I can’t remember what game it was but the visiting QB would come up to the line of scrimmage and then turn to the referee and mention that he couldn’t hear. After a couple of times of doing this the referee spoke to the captain of the home team and the home team began to motion for the fans to quiet down. This only made it worse and the home team was penalized 5 yards for a delay of game.
