Here’s what went down today on G&A:

* Suns beat the shorthanded Knicks, then Mike D’Antoni rips his team - and Suns’ fans, in the process. Gambo & Ash love D’Antoni, but wonder why he would open his postgame presser with a verbal assault on the fans. Ash thinks everyone, including D’Antoni, need to relax.

* Stephon Marbury says he has dirt on Knicks’ coach Isiah Thomas. Gambo & Ash agree Marbury is being a baby and just needs to shut up and play.

* The NFL re-instates Dolphin running back Ricky Williams. Ash thinks Miami should trade him right now. Gambo believes the win-less Fish need all the help they can get, but would never want Ricky as a teammate - and neither should any of the Dolphins.

* We were joined by Cardinals linebacker Calvin Pace. The Wake Forest alum is having a breakthrough season and he credits Whiz and the new staff for putting him in a scheme to be successful on the field. The free-agent-to-be says he wants to be back in Arizona next season if the money is right - stay tuned.

* We were also joined by NL Manager of the Year and Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin. BoMel discussed the season that was and how he hopes the young team will improve moving forward.

* Suns’ analyst Tim Kempton bet Gambo & Ash that his sorry alma mater Notre Dame will reach a BCS bowl game next year. Gambo & Ash discussed the restaurant of choice when they win the sucker bet. We updated Tim on the Fighting Irish’s schedule next season, which includes The Marines, The Salvation Army, and Old Navy.
