Here’s what went down today on G&A:

• Slideshow: Gambo & Ash Holiday Heroes - Day 1

* Day 1 of our 3-day “Holiday Heroes” charity drive, which benefits The 100 Club of Arizona.

* The Suns get a big win in San Antonio last night. G&A applaud Grant Hill for stepping up down the stretch. The guys agree the Suns can win games even when they’re out-rebounded - like they were last night - if they play tough defense.

* We were joined by Suns center Brian Skinner, who expressed how much he enjoys playing with such unselfish players. He also previewed Wednesday’s game in Big D against the Mavs.

* We were joined by new Dback Dan Haren, who was introduced to the local media this afternoon.

* A soon-to-be former Dback Tony Clark also checked in. The free-agent 1^st baseman is exploring options, just not here in Arizona.

* G&A applauded Clark for putting the team before himself and being such an influential role model to the younger players in the clubhouse and on the field.

* Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin also checked in. BoMel also donated a wonderful package for Holiday Heroes.
