Here’s what went down Wednesday on G&A:
* Gambo was off, so Johnny V. filled in with Ash.
* Ash signed his Girl Scout cookie LOI with Burnsy’s daughter this afternoon.
* The show was dominated by the Suns who lost to the lowly Clippers last night. The Suns are now officially in 2nd place in the Pacific. The guys agree the biggest problem is on the defensive end of the court. Ash isn’t sure this brutal stretch of games is getting the Suns “postseason-ready.”
* We were joined by Lakers forward Luke Walton. Walton still thinks the Suns are very good team that can go deep in the playoffs. He also couldn’t believe his UA Wildcats were knocked off by the Sun Devils last week.
* Big week ahead for the Top 25 ASU Sun Devils. ASU plays at Cal Thursday and Stanford Saturday. We were joined by Golden Bear head coach Ben Braun. ASU Athletic Director Lisa Love also joined the guys.
* The WAC is cracking down. New Mexico State fans can no longer chant “nice shot, a-hole!” when an opposing player makes a free throw. For the record, the Spanish version will not be allowed either…go figure.
* O.J. Simpson got ripped by Judge Jackie Glass - then she doubled his bail today in Vegas. The guys agree “The Juice” is an idiot for not stepping out of the spotlight when he could have. Ash thinks O.J. is off to jail.
* Cardinals starting safety Terrence Holt also joined the guys to discuss his first season with the Red Birds, the championship games this weekend, and his charity flag football tournament February 2nd in Avondale.
Tomorrow: Gambo returns
Guests: former NFL greats Dwight Clark & Tony Dorsett, NBA analyst Tim Legler
