Here’s what went down Friday on G&A.
* Extremely short show before Suns-Cavs hoops from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland…
* The guys talked to Cards’ Pro Bowl defensive tackle Darnell Dockett who’s excited to join Larry Fitzgerald in Honolulu. D2 shared his thoughts on the season that was, what’s needed to improve the 8-8 Red Birds, and his Super Bowl week plans which includes plenty of socializing.
* We were also joined by 4-time Super Bowl champ and College and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ted Hendricks. “The Stork” shared some great stories about his old-school playing days with the Raiders and the breaking news regarding Oakland coach Lane Kiffin who is being asked to resign by Al Davis. Kiffin just completed the first year of his 3-year contract.
* G&A agree Davis is a joke. The mere fact that Davis wants to hire Denny Green says it all. G&A also applaud Kiffin for balking at Davis’ request and, in turn, forcing the Raiders’ owner to pay up if he wants a new coach in his never-ending “Commitment to Excellence”.
* ASU mens hoops suffered its first “bad loss” of the season last night to Washington at Wells Fargo Arena. Ash thinks Saturday’s showdown against Washington State is suddenly a must-win game for the Sun Devils.
* We talked about UofA’s big win over Wazzu last night in Tucson. Gambo thinks Jordan Hill is key to the ‘Cats success. Ash feels Jerryd Bayless can help take UofA to new heights, at both ends of the floor.
