Can The Patriots Achieve Perfection?

Here’s what went down Tuesday on G&A:

* The Super Bowl is approaching. The world is watching the Valley of the Sun.

* Boston is on quite a “sports high” with the success of the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and even, Boston College. The guys debated if any other city has experienced the “wealth of sports success” as Bean Town. We took calls.

* The Mets have a new ace. His name is Johan Santana. Gambo says the Twins had no choice financially, but to trade Santana. G&A wonder how many “prime” years Santana has left. Both like the deal for New York. Gambo is happy his Yankees backed out of the Santana Sweepstakes.

* Former UA star, now Giants rookie safety Michael Johnson checked in from the media day. He’s ready for the rematch against Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and the Patriots this weekend.

* World-renowned sports handicapper Brandon Lang checked in. He’s $ in picking the Super Bowl. Lang has correctly picked against the Super Bowl spread for the past 15 years. He likes the underdog Giants to cover on Sunday.

* We were also joined by Bills running back Marshawn Lynch, NFL Hall-of-Fame quarterback Steve Young, and Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. All really good interviews with interesting takes on the Perfect Patriots.

* Steve Young Part One

* Steve Young Part Two

* New Tigers starter Dontrelle Willis joined the show, as well. “D-Train” is excited to pitch for a World Series contender again.

Tomorrow: Radio Row, Day 1.

Guests: Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings, former Cowboy Gridiron Great Mel Renfro, and ASU AD Lisa Love.
