Our worst fear - Black Monday

Here’s what went down Monday on G&A:

* Our worst fear has become a reality: BLACK MONDAY. The college football season ends tonight. G&A broke down the BCS title game - Ash (obviously) like the Tigers and Gambo thinks Ohio State will play better than people think, but still thinks Les Miles’ squad will get it done.

* We were joined by former NBA great, now Nuggets assistant Adrian Dantley. Denver is in-town to play the Suns tonight.

* Amare Stoudemire no-showed at Sunday’s practice. The Suns players/coaches down-played it today. G&A wonder if this is the final crack in the bridge. Is it time to trade STAT? Gambo says Amare’s trade-value isn’t as high as many believe. Ash wonders if the Suns would get anything close to market value for Stoudemire.

* G&A broke down Wildcard Weekend. Both threw props to Eli Manning and the Giants and think New York can beat the Mexico-vacationing Tony Romo and the Cowboys in Big D. G&A like the Colts over the Chargers Sunday in Indy.

* Roger Clemens went on 60 Minutes and said, well…nothing, really. G&A still think he’s a liar and may have dug himself a hole too deep to escape.

Tomorrow: Mark May & Dennis Erickson

Wildcard Weekend

Here’s what went down Friday on G&A:

* Ash won $5.55 at Turf Paradise - too bad it was a $6.00 bet.

* ASU hoops keep rolling along. The Sun Devils improved to 11-2 after last night’s win over Oregon. G&A believe the Sun Devils are going to play in the postseason – they’re just not sure where (NCAA’s or NIT).

* We were joined by ASU sophomore point guard Derek Glasser, who had a big game in last night’s win over the Ducks. His dad also invented Seven Jeans. G&A tried to get hooked up, but no luck.

* The Suns continue to win and improved to a Western Conference-best 23-9. Amare dropped 34 on the Sonics. Ash thinks when Stoudemire gets the ball more, his whole game improves and Gambo likes his intensity right now.

* Suns coach Mike D’Antoni shared his thoughts on STAT and previewed tomorrow’s big game against the Hornets.

* We were joined by former Cardinals coach Dave McGinnis. Coach Mac is currently the assistant head/linebackers coach of the Titans. Mac says his defense will have their hands full with Team Tomlinson Sunday in San Diego.

* G&A previewed Wildcard Weekend - both are high on the Redskins and Bolts and feel the Jags-Steelers game will be the most competitive.
