In fact, we stay with the mayors new idea for our entire first hour! And it does seem to be a new way of thinking for him. He’s always said he wasn’t in favor of having police ask people outright about their immigration status! I’m sorry to say, I’m not convinced the new policy is going to work! It’s great to put solutions out there, but I’m not sure the police and I.C.E. have the resources to actually put them into play! Also, we’ll let you hear Elias Bermudez urging people not to answer if they’re asked about their status! For cryin’ out loud! Will there be a penalty for not answering?
After 8 o’clock, we examine the heartrending story of Megan Meier, a teen who was goaded into suicide by someone who she thought was teenaged boy, but turned out to be the mother of a former friend of hers! This vindictive mom posed as young “Josh” online in order to find out what Megan was saying about her daughter! You would think there must be a crime in this woman’s actions, but officials aren’t pressing charges!
We’ll also return to the case of Senator Larry Craig, who swears that he isn’t gay and doesn’t cruise for men! Ha! At 9 o’clock, we’ll hear from guys who are now coming out of the woodwork to describe their sexual romps with this guy! One of the aforementioned guys is Mike Jones, the same male prostitute who was linked to Reverend Ted Haggard! How do you like that?! This is definitely our “Rated R Issue of the Night”!

Giving the right to police to question anyone only causes fear in every person wether hispanic or an illegal immigrant. Hispanics will fear losing people close like friends and perhaps family. Illegals already fear being deported and now even more fear will circulate.
When you asked if it will keep officers safer, my response is who has the right to say he will not be safe or he will? It depends on the person. If one illegal imigrant is morally wrong and shoots a cop it does not mean EVERY illegal is a criminal and would do something like that. Yes there are examples of an illegal imigrant shooting a cop but why are the examples where illegals are awarded for helping Americans in crises not brought up. People are not being educated correctly on EVERYTHING that occurs.They are only educted of the bad things which happen in every cirumstace. The crime will continue whether you are illegal or not, black or mexican, speak englsih or not who ever you are.
Did you know of the illegal man (close to the border) who found a car roled over with a young boy and a mother extremely injured, and instaed of continuing to walk he stops and makes a fire for the boy so that he would not freeze to death? He waited until all the officers showed up, and although illegal he was awarded, and now may have a chance of staying here legally. NOT ALL ILLEGALS ARE BAD. He says this while he is handed his ward as well.
The government is trying to take care of this situation the wrong way. It is trying to imprison and deport ALL illegals. IT’S NOT POSSIBLE. The government does not have enough money to deport all the illegals and imprisoning them is only making Americans pay for them. This is completely unfair. Instead, the government should be trying to find a solution.
Amnesty- I know it’s a hard thing to accept and give to the illegals, but think about it. They come here for a better life. They do the jobs that no American will ever submit to becuase it invloves either hard labor, cleaning, or of any service to people in most cases. Would you do any one of those jobs? I would think not becuase you HAVE other options, you CAN and DID get a good education.They come here to work, no matter how hard they have to, in order for their children to be educated, in order to gain minimum wage to survive becuase this is the land where dreams can come true. In Mexico, many don’t survive becuase of how messed up their economy is.
I finally just ask you to put yourself in an illegal STUDENT’s shoes. “Your” parents have come here to give you a better life. They have come here to work hard and survive. They brought you here at an age where you had no choice to come or not. Now you grow up like any other American knowing the language, same education, and have the same goals, but, you live in fear that EVERYTHING you’ve worked for, educated for, spent your life like any other American here trying to achieve will be taken away from you. You have to pay the price becuase your parents broke the laws in order to give YOU a good life. Your deported, to a land you’ve never even been to. If you were a women you could be killed, raped, everything and anything you can think of becuase you are out their alone with no connections. Seriuously, the government is destroying families who have worked and deserved to be here especially illegal strudents who have really not done anything illegal.
What is this goverenment representing??? Why doesn’t it think of people, humans. Why doesn’t it compare a life here and a life in Mexico. You can go to a University in Mexico and work for the highest degree but when you get out the first thing you are payed is about just as much as minimum wage over here. After you’ve recieved the highest degree you are payed basically NOTHING. America exploited Mexico which is also a fact that should NEVER be forgotten.
Yes, imprison the illegals who committ serious crimes like any other American. Stop complaining(not exactly you but the peolple) and finally realize that they WOULD pay taxes and that WE wouldn’t have to pay for those imprisoned if we just accpept the illegals that are already here.
Plan/Solution- you should first grant ammnesty in order for this situation to now have a solution. Then secure, spend money on securing the border. Finally the government should change the price others have to pay to become a citizen here. They CAN NOT AFFORD IT but would work to their last breath to earn it, which they have. We exploit their country anyways and this was their land before. Make it easier for them to come and HELP us and be legall. Our state Arizona depends on them SO MUCH. Tons of companies would go out of buisness if deporting was even possible.
You (we) neeed to educate Americans and show why they deserve to be here. Show what good they do for our society, show how WE depend on them, and show how their children are like any other American fully, becuase they were brought here at such a young age. I REALLY hope this message is sent out and put on air becuase this is all the core of solution, the path that the government should be taking. Thanks for your time.
