Michael Vick has been sentenced to almost two years in prison for his involvement in dog fighting, so we kick things off with “The Top 7 Things Overheard at Michael Vick’s Sentencing”!
Our first big issue tonight deals with G.O.P. presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, who, back when he was governor of Arkansas, apparently pushed for a convicted rapist to be set free. That convict went on to rape again and the victims are calling Huckabee on it! Why did Huckabee do that? Because he heard that this animal had “found God”! If this guy is elected president, can we trust him not to make boneheaded decisions in the name of God?
At 8 o’clock, we hear that Mayor Phil Gordon is finally making an attempt to bring together the operators of Pruitt’s Home Furnishings and their longtime protesters, led by Salvador Reza! My first question: where has Mayor Gordon been all this time?! This conflict has been going on for a couple of months now and I think the mayor’s efforts may be too little, too late!
At 8:30, Horizon High School was locked down today after someone was spotted carrying a gun on campus! A gunman at your kid’s school is bad enough, but then you find out you can’t come and get your kid out of there? You’d be beside yourself with fear! Gaydos talks to KTAR news pro and mom Hanna Scott about today’s big scare!
Starting out our final hour, it’s Oprah-palooza! Boy, do people turn out to see Oprah and Obama together! But you wouldn’t want Oprah to be V.P., would you? We address this question in yet another “Gaydos Experiment “!
At 9:30, we have our weekly chat with legendary ABC newsman Sam Donaldson!
Then, as happens with all truly good things, the show must end! However, we couldn’t leave without bringing you our “Cardinals Radio Replay”! Cards fans, we’ll get through this season…the excitement…the humiliation…together!
16, 17, 18 hours of news, opinion and entertainment, squeezed into a brilliant three hours; that’s Gaydos After Dark!
